Would you say the Luna has better technicalities all around? Like better soundstage expanse in all directions, better separation, better details, better imaging? Also, does the Luna sound lean, or quite natural?
Thanks! Yes, the bottom button, labeled "M" (you can see it around 1:05), works as a play/pause button when you press it. If you hold it for two seconds, it opens or exits the menu. Inside the menu, pressing the M button lets you scroll through the different settings. If you have a cable with play/pause or volume buttons, the KA15 also will work with it so you can use the inline controls or the KA15 itself to play/pause.
Hello Axel. I just bought this DAC. I tested it and it's weird that sound is coming out of my phone and not through the Ka15. But DAC controls are working. Any chance you know what the issue is?
Hello there, Does your phone have a headphone jack? Have you tried connecting it to your PC? Are you using the provided USB-C OTG cable? Do you experience the same issue with other dongles? You could try updating the firmware through the FiiO control website to see if that resolves the problem. Also, consider installing the FiiO or Hiby music app, as they should allow you to use the dongle in exclusive USB and potentially fix the issue.
Your phone not support otg by default. You must turn on USB otg mode on your phone, before plug in your dac. For my phone (xiaomi) its on by default, I haven’t issue like happened to you. But my friend has same issue like you. I tell him to turn on usb otg mode, and its work on his device
@@Atechreviews BTR15 and the much cheaper akliam pd3 dac with the same cs43198. Its not muddy in the sense of bad sounding or anything but I think its just its sound signature. There is a layer of cloudiness in there
I love how Fiio kept all the buttons on the top, it adds to it's super cool retro look.
Yeah
Thanks for the Review brother. This cyan color looks very good. The build quality and feel of the DAC is superb.
No problem 👍
Excellent review. Its smaller than I expected. 😮
Thanks! Yeah, it is smaller than I expected, especially with that power output.
@@Atechreviews I wish it had an extra usbc port for power like it's bigger brother.
Thats what she said 😏
Good review brother. I love this Blue color and that unique cassette like display. Reminds me of the Sony Walkman players.
Thanks for watching!
Wow, i want one! Just for the look alone. A mini Sony Walkman. 😊
Yeah, it looks awesome.
Me too :)

Damn, it's Microcassette size!
Yeah.
Great review--thanks! Is there a way to pause/play on the device itself?

Fiio KA15 Vs Onix Alpha XI1, which one do you prefer?
I haven't tried the Onix Alpha XI1.

I found the sound muddy comparing to my other dacs. Returned it
That's OK. It didn't sound muddy at all to me. Which DACs did you compare it to?

Can i use it with a old cassette player..analoque out to fiio and then to headphones?
Is a digital to analoge converter not a analog to analog
No, you need an ADC to do that.
"Yo Dawg, we heard you like cassette tapes so we put a cassette tape on your cassette tape!"
No, your old cassette player won't have a UBS connection.
Is the USB connection purely for power? My phone has a headphone jack.
The USB connects to your phone, and then you can use the 3.5mm or 4.4mm output on the KA15.
