"Metali!!" (metari) is a play on words with "metal" and "matsuri" (traditional Japanese festival). Being this a matsuri influenced song like "Megitsune" and "PA PA YA!". There are some cool reminiscences of "Megitsune" both in the lyrics and the music video. Like the chants ("Sore!" and "Wasshoi!"), the traditional tea room where they are performing in the beginning that reminds the famous stage called "Nohgakudo" at Asagaya Shinmei-gu Shrine from the "Megitsune" MV and the fact they clear the tatami from the traditional tea paraphernalia (by kicking it as you noticed 🤣) the same way they get rid of the kimonos in the beginning of "Megitsune". And that is extremely cool because they are kicking out the restrictive traditions while keeping the rest to be more inclusive.
I can't agree on what you mentioned about being this one more like their early work because it's not influenced by electronic music. Proof: their second song was "Iine".
