MUY BIEN HECHO..
CONTINUEMOS...
This is no perfectionist or fancy "how to: if only you could" , but rather a hands on approach. Everything you see here can be done by yourself with similar results and -
The crudness of the "tanto" does set it apart from other pieces, but it has character and doesnt take away from just how useful videos like this can be. Great job.
No commentary this does put a smile on my face.
Thanks
You could make a smaller, min-tanto companion knife from the shank!
Honestly even tho this doesn't have a habaki I still have a good thinking about this maru o-tanto
Beautiful craftsmanship with minimal tools, a true piece of art and skill, bravo to you sir.

Thank you very much 👍 and good luck 😁
I came by this video on random but it is one of my favorite knife making videos now. I can't judge the quality of the knife itself but it looks great. What surprised me and I loved about this video is the great use of tools to get the job done. Hopefully you get many upgrades to your workshop to continue the outstanding work you are doing. Well done and keep up the good work.
Thank you very much I appreciate it 💪👍👍

Nice job bro ,its nice to c what someone can do with all of the fancy tools ,
Only thing I think could have been done a little better was the finish sanding of the blade, but I get it that sanding get really tedious.
Yes some parts could be done better but that was my first knife so i need to learn allot 😁
nice work
Thank's man 👍😁
świetny :D
Dzięki wielkie 👍
Nice knife I wish to have one
Soon I will make another one and make giveaway 😎
Okay
After the power file you should have draw filed the bevels! Ensures flatness and crisps up all the bevel edges and plunge! Just a tip... good up cycling!! Same belt sander as me..... guild..., let me guess.... Argos?? Lol.... loving it matt
Thank's for tip man 👍yes Argos 😎
@@MatthewMoustache that's ok man.... good blade.. impressed with the fit of the scabbard and tsuka.... very well done...
I'm basically the same... doing my own little knife projects for the dream of being full time... I make fixed blades and folders.... love to collaborate somehow.... would be awesome to have someone elses style included too..... how about I make a blade and you handle and sheath it for UA-cam??
@@charliebowen5071 that's sound like a good idea man
Very good
Thanks Lucas 👍
Greetings, why you put that red glowing blade in oil after the oven?
By the way, beatiful creation and my respects to you from Lima,Perú.
It's process called hardening, without that blade will be unable to hold his sharp edge, thank's for your curiosity 😀👍
Great work my man.
Would love to see the jackasses that gave you a thumbs down do any better.
Stay strong guy's and God bless
Happy 2020
Thank you man 👍💪every thumb down make another thousand up 😁
27th comment good video
Thank you 👍💪
Well done Mr Moustache, that was wunderbar, I also love the fact your workshop and personal tools are in immaculate condition, most restoration or fabrication vids have some manky looking idiot banging a rusty nail with a hammer that is even rustier. BZ.
タントーブレードなのがCOOL!!
鞘の拵えとかからすると「日本刀」というより、匕首になっちゃうなぁ
しかし、この人に弟子入りしたいくらいだよ!!d(≧∀≦)b
What's the name from your machine at 4:07 please?
If you talk about engraving thats rotary tool and seconds before power file
Задумка хорошая, исполнение немного хромает. Это же надо, в горелый штакетник нож из садовых ножниц спрятать.

Hello I saw you put the knife in to water. Is it water or what?
Water when grinding to reduce heat and oil for quenching
How much for one? I totally want one
I never thought that anyone will want one, I still have other part of scissors soo giveaway is coming 😁
Please let know!!!
@@MrTylorCharoenpojana I will mate
Next video: "making scissors out of old tanto".😁 its a nice work. But am interested in how you made the small furnace where you heated the blade.
Thanks Sonia 👍 I have how to video on my channel

Thank's for letting me know 👍I also know them as hedge shears 😁
It's not a tanto though unless it's *clay tempered*
You might be right I will need to learn this technique 👍 but as in title this is tanto knife not traditonal tanto.
I'm sorry if I say something quite offensive.... I'm just bladesmith who look up to a traditional Japanese blades.. And respect it a lot as an image with it
@@makatadaito1351 no worries sir you wasn't offensive, I respect such a comments like yours because now I can learn something new 👍
Your didn’t harden it!! It’s basically a glue scraper
I didn't use mild steel, check description and stop skipping video. And in my opinion that's a nice glue scraper 😎
Ok let me educate you... the blade of the shears you used were not hardened that’s how you can drill it and file it.. it means your Rockwell hardness is probably around 20-25 and any knife you would buy or make needs around 55 at least.. it’s worthless my friend
@@charliebowen5071 That's good to know for future but i done hardening and quenching in oil.
