    I have a question:
Yesterday, My Mac was fine and shut it down. Now, I turned on my Mac and it says “Your computer restarted because of a problem”, i press a key then it restarted and it goes back to that message. I pressed Cmd + R. And I clicked Disk Utility and “Macintosh HD” is not there. The only thing that is there is the 251 GB APPLE SSD SM02… and disk0s2 (which is greyed out).

For me it was differently: when I placed an SSD instead of DVD drive, the Disk Utility did not show the new disk. After rebooting the machine the MacOS (El Capitan) detected the SSD and asked what to with it. I told to initialize it, and it became visible in Disk Utility.

Best advice given for the "damaged" error message I kept getting when trying to re-install the OS on this Macbook Pro. Others had that change the time nonsense or/and disconnect the wifi. None of that worked. With this video and the instructions followed thoroughly, I was able to get the OS install in one shot. Thank you Ajuda for the best advice given for this situation. KUDOS!

hello, may I ask a question, hopefully it will be answered, so on my macbook disk utility in the internal section there are already some data (untitled 1, untitled 2) , well in that section I accidentally pressed the "partition" tab and then my data "untitled 1 untitled 2" was lost, even though I didn't delete or "erase", can it be restored or not? all my data is there, is there a solution? thank you very much

    IF THIS COULD HELP ANYONE
Personally I couldn't see ths internal SSD after rebooting and having pressed command+R because it tried to install MacOs Sierra and it was impossible to find the internal SSD, but after I restarted and pressed option+command+R it downloaded MacOs Mounterey and my internal SSD showed up finally, it was on a MacBook Pro 13" A1708 EMC 2978 without touchbar, with a 1Tb Sabrent Nano nvme SSD and an adapter.
Good Luck, hope it may fix your problem

I have a problem with an iMac 2017, I already did everything and I can't find the solution, at first it detected the ssd with the adapter, I have a crucial 1 TB P3, I connect it to the motherboard and when I put the bootable usb with MacOs Ventura does not recognize it internally, if that same ssd I put it externally if the iMac recognizes it, I do the format externally and at the moment of putting it internally it it does not recognize it. I already installed the macOS Ventura by external means and I put it internally and it doesn't recognize it either, I don't know what to do I've been testing for a month and I have to be assembling and disassembling the iMac, I hope someone can help me, The disk utility does not recognize it, I already made the list disk and nothing does not appear the ssd m.2 nvme, I am totally blocked, do I need to do it with high sierra and then update to Ventura?

Hello. I'm from Brazil, I'll translate for you, I hope you understand.
. Check with the crucial website to see if there is a firmware update
. It would be nice to have another SSD to clear the doubt
. Check that there is no dirt in the logic board slot where the SSD goes
      . Reset nvram and pram
. Install the older system and see if it is regular on the reference disk
. Read about fusion drive (I think this model has it)
. Install the high sierra and do all the updates it has, I believe there is a firmware update for this model
. Carry out these tests, but the ideal would be to have another one from another brand, sometimes the brand and model are not fully compatible with the logic board
These are some tips that I remember now.

For all the People who still can´t see their SSD in terminal via Diskutil list:
I had the same issue. Someone here in the comment section suggested to create a bootable macOS installer and try it that way.
I created a MacOS Monterey bootable USB and booted from that; now my new NVME SSD gets recognised.
Somewhere I read that you need a relatively new MACOS Firmware. I think the Problem before was, that I started Recovery via Internet and that would only start MacOS Sierra Recovery.
