Hey Paul, that's awesome to hear! We love hearing and seeing that people are getting hooked up and enjoying their fishing. All the best and may all your snags be on the barbie! Cheers, Justin
Cheers Adrian, now we have a break in the wind we need to hit some high tide flatties. Hope the trout are playing the game for you down there. Cheers, Justin
I do have an electric motor but when I'm doing a long drift I have a small kayak anchor I drop over the side and tie it off short enough it doesn't grab but slows the drift down considerably, works very well and able to cover the area with heaps more casts, we always get a good feed of frogs
Nice work Jonny, sounds like a good solution. Slowing that drift definitely allows you to work the area and control the plastic better, Nice to hear you're getting stuck into a few too. Cheers, Justin
Hey Yu Leo, crikey that's a wrap! The comment is very much appreciated and will inspire us to make plenty more videos that hopefully help people catch a few. All the best with the fishing. Cheers, Justin
Hey Damien, thanks for the kind words. I'll have to hit up Andrew our cameraman and jack gun... to hit a few of his spots ;). Stay tuned. Cheers, Justin
Great vid fellas, very helpful indeed 😉 I must admit I struggle on the high tide bite at times but I think I can take some of these tips on board for next time.
I went to Patonga nsw I anchored in the middle of a sand bank about 3 feet deep and it was a Large circle sand bank surrounded with weed i casted in every direction possible caught 2 flatties high tide it was 36 just legal and 38 kept them both and I went out at 5:00 came back @ 7:30 jurying the day I went out for 6 minutes in the middle of the outgoing tide pumped some yabbies second cast got a 41 cm flattie. Took them home filleted them blended rice bubbles. Recipe is. Blended rice bubbles milk egg bread crumbs salt. Blended rice bubbles with bread crumbs and salt mix them together well. put fillets in egg and milk mix then put in blended rice bubbles and bread crumbs and salt then put oil in fry pan heat up oil and put more salt on the crumbed fillets and let them sit when oil is heated up put them in leave fillets on one side for 2 mins each and then if u don’t think there ready leave them in for another minute 30 seconds each side they should be done after 2 mins on each side because fish cooks really fast. Don’t remember to enjoy watching it cook. Let the fillets Cool for a minute. There delicious for anyone who likes flathead. Try it out u will catch flathead if u go in places like he said and that have the structure that he fished at I did and i got good flatties. I’ve never had the stuff to catch flathead and I’ve been fishing and crabbing for years last year in 2018 I got my first flathead 50 cm. A guy I know his biggest is 38 cm I got one way bigger . My first flattie was twice that size. Lol try out my recipe. It’s great. Peace out.

Pumicestone Passage is great for flathead when the banks are exposed but becomes much harder when the tide is up, and much harder as well in the warmer months for some reason..
My Way to avoid Flathead Spikes is to just Shove my hand into their mouth and hold them firmly on bottom jaw (for those im keeping obviously, for small ones to be released or big females i gently hold them like he does yes or leave them laying on deck to dehook)
Hey Daniel, that is awesome! Congrats on the croc! We were bitten off while filming... then the next weekend I scored an 80cm from the kayak... spewing it wasn't while filming the segment! Glad to hear the video was useful and stoked on your big fish! Cheers, Justin
I don't believe it 😂 I've spent 100s of dollars on soft plastics that everyone recommends And 10 x10 billion casts later I have not even caught a tailor Timed high tide ,low tide made all the soft plastics do all the tricks I HAVE NOTHING TO SHOW FROM YEARS OF EFFORT I think these fish are caught on bait and hooked on the soft plastic an cast back out and the footage tampered with 😂 I literally have wasted my time trying to catch anything on a soft plastic
Great work as always, I have been doing great on the flathead since watching your tutorials.
