Yeah ive played like 500 hrs or more, now i wanted to try it again, but cant find games. people hated it and compared to Halo, but maps in Doom are so much better, specially visual style. Maps in Halo are like three lines copy paste.
I remember playing an early beta of Doom 2016s multiplayer. Absolutely loved it. Shame the final product didn't pop off as much as the campaign did. Nice video my dude!
Lucky you finding a game Im from eu and i waited over an hour to barely find 2 people on a friday afternoon during vacation But yeah its still kinda fun even with bots
we just need crossplay in doom and content for mp for battlemode after dlcs it was 1 new demon thats it and a overhaul that added leader boards and ranks and a new map
I miss that combo with the rifle that charges as you run and hitting an enemy with the charged shot then switching to the combat shotgun, 2 hit kill. So much fun
main thing why they went with bm for eternal was cuz of the feedback of the skills in the campaign dint carry over to pvp for the next doom which was leaked i hope we get 2016 mp back
It’s a little hard to find a match sometimes for me too but the best time of day for me is around 12-5pm and the weekends are always going to be better than the weekdays
I’d like to see this MP get revisited but unfortunately that wouldn’t happen. I’ve been loving it but I feel there’s a few things it’s missing/should be changed. Stuff like having your runes and demons all in one loadout instead of picking 3 separate things at the start of the match, we could also see a balance shakeup, new maps, and finally getting a better announcer than VEGA, love you buddy but your ever pleasant voice never gets me hyped. My dream would be for this game to get a modern upgrade alongside the release of Dark Ages, because it seems like the new game is going to be even more impossible to make a deathmatch out of than Eternal was. This game has stood the test of time from sheer community willpower alone and it’d be nice to see iD acknowledge it

Compliments the mode for having “super quick, snappy gameplay” and says, “one of the coolest things about this multiplayer is becoming a demon”, but doesn’t like Eternal’s Battlemode? How does that make any sense? Battlemode is way faster than 2016 and gives you half a dozen demons to play as.
Eternal is soulfully focused on PVE gameplay, you can’t fight other doom slayers in Eternals multiplayer like in 2016. 2016 was more of a traditional multiplayer experience which I enjoy more
Too bad, I remember playing this mode when I was younger and having a lot of fun, now I just want to finish my steam achievements and have fun maybe one last time but looks like Europe is a dead region for the game

a lot of youtubers gave crap to the doom 2016 multiplayer but then I tried it myself and I can say that's the biggest load of baloney I have ever heard, it's not the BEST multiplayer experience it wasn't going to replace more popular titles like COD and Halo but I at least can argue that it's better
Doom Eternal multiplayer is pure garbage compared to 2016. I hope they bring back the traditional game modes with whatever else they have planned. I literally NEVER played Eternal’s multiplayer.

I first got into the multiplayer sometime around late 2016, when you were still able to buy the separate DLC packs (before the 6.66 update that gave everyone the opportunity to unlock all content). I was still on my battlefield one high at the time but once I got used to the mechanics I remember really enjoying the game and spending a decent amount of time on it. Over time though I would loose and regain interest in the game and eventually got myself to the max rank... I miss how lively the game used to be🥲

Modded eternal multiplayer destroys 2016's multiplayer. Slayer vs Slayer, invasion mode, CO-OP, and Battlemode 3.0. There's a dedicated server for it.
I wouldn’t say pathetic because Battlemode is still an amazing experience. But the 2016 one should have returned.
