just because your title I skipped all the illustrator videos lol I just needed to get his done today ! I was able to fallow along, and get what I needed for my sticker completed! Dope !
@@stanw205 It depends on the cutter. Some need barcodes, some need tick marks, some are dots. Are you doing the actual cutting yourself, or sending to a print shop? If you're sending it out, I would let them add those marks, no need to do it yourself.
3:00 Select Image, Object>Clipping Path
That was very neat. It is amazing how the technology has advanced. Thank you for sharing this tip. It helps a lot.
No problem. Happy to help.

Haha. Glad it helped.
Impressive solution.
Thank you for sharing.
👍
That is for this process! This will make things a lot faster and less painful.
Glad you like it. Hopefully it’ll help.
Interesting that illustrator doesn't have a similar clipping feature.
To be honest I just go and use the convert to vector feature, clean it up and then offset it.
Agreed. Most functions between InDesign are similar in Illustrator. I couldn’t find a similar setup in Illustrator.
Love this!
Thanks for watching. Please be sure to sub like and share.
interesting feature. Might be useful for automating it with Scripts?
That’s my next goal. How can we do this as a script to automate. Hopefully I can figure it out.
my print shop need a separate pdf cut file. How can I produce a separate file to send with the art file? Thanks
I just did a video on how to separate the cut line from the artwork: ua-cam.com/video/QIZ33V7JoW0/v-deo.htmlsi=XN6PNGwbK0H69PRh
I viewed your video on exporting a separate file but arent 4-6 registration dots required to run the cuts. Thanks

What I understand you have to name the swatch to "DieContour" for cutting machine to be able to read it as a die cut line. Or else it will not cut
It depends on your model of cutter. Most require a specific spot color name, but it depends on the software you are using.
You don’t like new UI acrobat 😅
(Interesting video btw)
No I do not. I keep mine like it had been for the past 10 years. Lol.
haha, me too @@miketheprintman
Too fast
Is too fast a good thing or bad thing, lol?
