I don't ever do a wing because of my hooded eyes also, but this tutorial makes me feel alot more confident that I can pull it off!Turning 42 soon, definitely going to try this technique!😉😉
I just turned 43 and I have a very hooded eye. I always want to do a winged ljner but no matter what I did, it was never right. This technique is awesome. I've watched alot of videos on how to do the winged liner. This video just made it so clear for me. Thank you for posting!
Hey Nina, my name is Vicki, and I live in Florida. Just wanted to thank you for demonstrating this technique for hooded eyes. Suffice it to say that I am over 50, and have been struggling with eyeliner and wing applications for about one week. One of the reasons your technique appeals to me, is that it still lifts the eye, in a much softer and practical way. Also, I have been using your soft focus foundation application. My husband complimented my look today. What a game changer for me! Applying your base products before your foundation really does soften your look. Thank you for your talent, time, and energy, which I appreciate so much, as it softens everything. Wishing you good health and continued success. Bye for now, looking forward to more of you videos.
Super detailed. I can’t wait to try this look, because usually when I blend away the cat eye line, I just end up with a muddy-looking mess. Your technique looks so much better.
Nina! You are an absolute genius! I have tried so many techniques and never have I had the results that this technique has given me. I’m ecstatic! Never thought my hooded eyes could look so good with a cat eye! Thank you so much for this video!
OMG🤯! I’ve never seen this technique. I also just realized from watching Nina was hold her brush that I’ve been holding my brush upside down! Lol No wonder my line is always messed up and I didn’t have control over placing my wing where I wanted it and the line would be too thick when I tried to connect it. I had to go into the office this Saturday, I wish I watched this video this morning so I could’ve tried this out. I’m def practicing this tomorrow! Ty Nina, this was a 💡 moment for me!
You are a genius makeup artist! I have watched so many hooded eye looks and, mostly, it boiled down to the bat-wing, which I dislike. I feel more confident trying to replicate this hooded eye look! My lid "dropped" in my mid 50s, I am 58 now. I am so enjoying your channel and I think you are SO talented and beautiful. I taught makeup to myself in my mid teens and have been a department store makeup artist for a few years in the past. I did not enjoy it because they wanted me to focus more on sales than the artistry. In any case, I am and always have been a makeup junkie! I am a writer professionally, which is also my passion and now I basically enjoy doing makeup only on myself and the occasional friend in need. You have such a beautiful personality too! So happy I found you today and I am binge-watching your awesome videos!!! 💖😊.
BRILLIANT!! Update: This technique is amazing! I use this as my day look as its softer and it makes my eye look larger. I have a severe hooded eye. May need surgery if I ever want to go back to wearing contact lenses, but good makeup techniques and lash extensions have been my salvation. You really need relax the eye when you do it though...I tense up easily and want to look up. Thank you dear!
Our eyes are nearly identical. Most say I'm not hooded...however, we have a lot of "real estate". Which after all these years, I realise is a blessing to shade/blend. Gorgeous, you x
Hi Nina! Again I'm going to try this look. My makeup never turns out like yours, despite all my efforts. I'm going to keep trying til I get it! Your amazing to watch and LISTEN to. You inspire me to feel like I can get this look. Just keep talking and teaching us! We're all behind you and appreciate your time that you give to us!
Great blending method for a nice, different wing eyeliner look that works for hooded eyes (and not just a stark harsh batwing)!! 🤗👍 I hated doing the liquid eyeliner because of the difficulty of hooded eyes. Thank you so much!
Hi Nina...that you so much h for this video,it helped me a lot. I would appreciate more videos on extremely hooded eyes, on how to do cut crease & winged eyeliner. Thank you so much . I learn so much from your videos & I look forward to your videos Thank you
Thank you so much Nina! This may sound weird but I did not realise I had hooded eyes until you mentioned it! I am an afro caribbean woman in her 50's with chinese heritage and have only just started wearing make up properly. Your videos are amazingly helpful. Thank you so so much! This is something I will try for sure! x
I can't tell you how happy I am that you made this video! I've been watching various hooded eyes videos or at least putting them in my watch later queue, but I really wanted one from YOU. Haven't even watched it yet but wanted to let you know how excited I am right away. Going to watch now.
@@NinaUbhi1 I've tried it and my eyes still look quite hooded, but I think I'm not doing the eyeliner correctly. I'll check to see if you have some eyeliner tutorials for age-related hooded eyes.

Although I have totally changed my makeup routine due to watching your every videos but have never mastered the eye liner with hooded eyes. So loving this content and how natural it looks so will try this out x
Absolutely obsessed with all your videos. You are so talented and I thank you for making these videos, where the "average" person can feel confident applying one's makeup and looking incredible. I am so happy you made this eyeliner technique video. I do want to know how one would wear eyeshadow with this eyeliner technique. Do you apply eyeshadow the way you normally would and then apply this eyeshadow technique?
Honestly Nina, this is the best tutorial I've come across. Very chic and easy at the same time. Definitely a new subscriber here. Greetings from Ireland.

Do you have a video of how to apply eyeshadow or what looks best for hooded eyes??? I have hooded eyes and it's a struggle sometimes because my hood covers my whole lid..
Ok, I watched this; absolutely beautiful! I probably need a different eyeshadow brush. Have you done a video on applying eyeliner, period? I've never really learned, and all I can currently do is take a Kohl pencil and tightline. If I try to do right above the lashline rather than below it, it looks like a toddler scribbled on me. (I have pretty crippled hands from childhood arthritis, which doesn't help. They can get shaky on me.) But now that I'm over 50, I'm really doubting the Kohl pencil tightlining thing is what I should be doing, if it ever was. Thanks!
