Thanks for the vid. Does the schroth sub belt design with the kinks do anything for comfort?

Great video. How do you install the Sub belts with the adjustable seat slider? If mounted to the floor or non-moving bracket, wouldn't the sub belt need to be re-adjusted for drivers of different height? We have drivers of different heights on our team and looking for a safe solution for the Sub belt without having to adjust because it will be under the seat. Thanks for any suggestions.

We definitely don't recommend an adjustable seat slider in a dedicated track car if you can help it. The sub belt is absolutely a problem due to the length needing to be different when the seat moves as you mentioned. Theres no correct way to short cut this other than readjusting the most difficult to adjust belt with every seat movement. I know people don't do this though so what happens is either the taller person usually ends up with a sub belt far too high on their body for proper use. Some have used a cross bar that attaches to the seat slider so it moves WITH the seat and the length stays the same, but its also not the safest route. No short cuts should ever be taken with harness installation/safety.

That's because they didn't know where they should be located and what they are used for!

It appears that no one really know how to mount 5 or 6 point sub straps and it's real shame you provide the wrong information. The sub straps are not designed to hold the seat or even the driver, They are supposed to hold the harness in the correct position to avoid injury!

This would be a lot better if you used a real car.

Yea, we thought of that as well, but too many cars have too many differences so we tried to cover the basics that apply to just about anything you'd be installing harnesses into. Also very hard to get proper views with a camera of the areas down beside a seat. The only differences would be mounting locations for your lap and sub belt depending on the chassis, but the rules still apply the same. If you ever had any questions in how to install harnesses always reach out to the professionals to answer your questions. We'd be happy to help and with something like race harnesses its best not to have any doubts!
