The Brits are masters of innuendo. It started with early radio comedy. There were strict rules on what you could broadcast, so comedians used innuendo to get around it.
Early morning kids TV in the UK - SMTV:Live. ua-cam.com/video/C0XMy0L392I/v-deo.html Yes we're great at innuendo but this could never be aired today :(
@@wrorchestra1 Absolutely agree but the funny thing is, I was born in 1953 yet I managed to work out what most of the palari meant, although not gay and with no known gay relatives. It always surprised me that the executives and censors couldn’t.
Julian Clary, the man talking about the pantomime at the end. was infamous for innuendos. I remember on TV quiz he was presenting there was a section where this young kid wanted his parents to allow him his own key to the house but they wouldn't. The kid already had a key ring but no key, and Julian - dressed flamboyantly as was his way in those days - said There's nothing worse than an empty ring. Luckily the kid had no idea what the innuendo was but everyone else did.
This Morning is a British daytime topical talk show on ITV, debuting in 1988 (when it was originally presented by Richard & Judy) and featuring a range of different presenters through the years. It was pretty much our version of Good Morning America that has remained a constant on British television through the decades...
Yes, this is daytime British TV way before the "watershed" when swearing or sex references are permitted on TV! The chemistry between Holly and Phillip is great and Gino's unintentional innuendos are hilarious, too. A muff in the UK is both a warm open ended tube to put your hands in and...lady parts!
The last chap - Julian Clary - is worth digging into 😉 King of the innuendo, and for me, a very funny comedian. More clips of This Morning outtakes are available, and a recommended reaction to, Alan.
I remember when Holly and Phillip presented the show still drunk from the night before as they had been to an award show and were out drinking until they had to go to work the next morning and were still wearing the same clothes from the award ceremony lol
What’s lovely about this kind of early morning innuendo is when it’s unintentional and they know they shouldn’t have said it, it’s way funnier than deliberate double entendre, imo.
Holly Willoughby is just so easy on the eyes. Great sense of humour and a beautiful person inside and out. Her and Phillip Schofield have such a great time on that show. British TV is great when you can have content like this.
Just watched 6 hrs of Queen Elizabeth's funeral and as glad as I was to watch it all I did need a laugh after it.. And you have done that. Thanks mate..very well timed. 😂
Thanks Beard! I love British TV-shows but this is and has been the only daytime show I have been watching for years (not usually live) or just running in the back ground. Those two have been my favorite "couple" and Gino of course as a "house guest". She is the "Queen" / darling of the show! Phil and especially Gino knows how to "play" her like a fiddle😂😂😍😍. This is their best gig together and Gino has quite good shows also, like with Gordon Ramsey and Fred Sirieix`s road trip (cause they came to Finland and Gordon had to make meatballs being naked in a Sauna with a Finnish chef, woman, and as an "arrogant bastard" he is, he made the mistake to ridicule a Finnish Lady`s soccer team and they took him to a swamp and kicked his ass on a swamp-football match). Yes, it is a real thing, we have hosted the "World Cup"-tournament for years. As for the Sauna World Cup, but when the Russian who tried to beat the Finnish World Champion died, we kinda had to cancell that. Nokia Mobile Phone and Nokia rubber boots-throwing World Cups, so how far can you throw a Nokia phone or boot. "Wife" carrying- World Cup, where the prizes are the woman`s weight measured in Beer, so kind a paradox😂😂😍😍Sorry, I got carried away.
You'll probably like clips from the show The Chase, where the producers deliberately word the questions to make the host Bradley Walsh break out in a giggling fit.
Thank you for watching this, us Brits really needed this Laugh right about now. Innuendo is the best form of comedy because it makes your brain fill the gap and your own nervousness anxiety causes the laugh. Best of British 😂🤣🇬🇧👌
The best episode they ever did was the morning after the NTA awards, they won the award for best day time show and along with 2 other hosts that won another category they stayed up all night celebrating, then came straight to the studio to do the show the next morning, they were still in the clothes from the night before and very drunk, the hole day was chaos watching them go from drunk to hung over and dying it was brilliant 🤣
I had my chest waxed live on This Morning. Phil and Holly were their usual mischievous selves, tittering behind their hands at us poor bastards who'd been volunteered for trialling male hair removal products. The set and the crew is so relaxed, you forget there are any cameras around at all, I can see how they unravel in laughter so regularly!
sometimes it's not the innuendo that's the funny thing, it's realisation and laughter that makes it funny (at least to me) but definitely recommend looking for more of these, there should be a handful of videos of them, the show has been going for what feels like forever lol and check out the best of Gino D'Acampo (that Italian chef) on the show, not always innuendos, but the translation and the banter between him and the hosts has produced some funny moments as well
You need to look at the best of Gino or even his actual cooking segments on this show. He absolutely slays Phil and Holly every time and also makes great food 😅
Holly Willoughby has been on British TV for over a decade... Started on kids TV and done lots of shows. She's most known for being a Co host on Keith Lemon's show which really brought out and showed her funny side
Amazing reaction my friend!!....You are the right person to make this insane reaction video and give us your opinion about this incredible singer...In 2017, the music world was shocked by the bursting onto the scene of a 22-year-old singer named Dimash Kudaibergen, who performed on the famous Chinese competition show for professional singers called “The Singer”... It was just it was necessary for this young man to make his first appearance, making a cover of one of the most difficult songs in the world, a famous French composition called "S.O.S. D'un Terrien En Détresse", to be considered from that moment on as the best singer in the entire planet....No one in the musical field had ever seen a human being, being able to reach vocal ranges above 7 octaves and several semitones, that is, all 88 keys of a digital piano, which reaches a little more than 7 octaves and as if that weren't enough, sing the more than 12 languages...Since then all kinds of experts (Vocal coachs, singers, musicians, analysts, singing teachers, youtubers, reactors, etc.) have dedicated themselves to reviewing their presentations to try to understand how someone can sing this way...The incredible thing is that that presentation in China was in 2017 but what Dimash has done in these 5 years is to further improve his wide vocal range, which is currently practically above of the 8 octaves... The Covid pandemic stopped his concerts worldwide, all with tickets sold in just seconds, via the internet, but at the same time it ended up catapulting him to the top of popularity worldwide...Anyway, since I think you are one of those reactors who have not yet met this impressive singer, here is the link of that presentation in China in 2017, with the song S.O.S. and I would like you to mention my name as the person who recommended him to you...You have to be prepared because your channel will explode with an avalanche of views, comments and new subscribers....I leave you one more recent video than the others, so it does not have the same number of views as the previous ones, which have millions of views, but it is a more complete video, with an intro, subtitles in several languages and with the improved quality of audio and sound....ua-cam.com/video/bDX3FhmyNac/v-deo.html
Phil and Holly have worked together for years on a couple of different shows but this is their bread and butter. Great innuedo has been the stalwart of British comedy for years. Yo ushould check out clips from a series of films called the 'Carry on' films. My favorite is Carry on Cleo which was a send up of the Burton/Taylor film Cleopatra and filmed on the same set. One great line is when guards try to assasinate Ceaser and he comes running in crying 'Infamy, Infamy, they've all got it in for me'.
Best innuendo I've heard was on Top Gear James May saying "She's basically saying you've given me the baby now get in the back" and Jeremy's reaction is just gold

Try watching Celebrity Juice, Holly was a team captain, hosted by the bearded guy in the 2nd clip, Keith Lemon. It's a few levels above this as it's late night.
You need to check out British Carry On films from the 50s - 70s. They are packed with smutty innuendos and double entendres, which I am guessing is right up your street!
When a woman has a hairy area between her legs we usually say "she has a hairy muff", also Julian Clary is the guy who (ON LIVE TELEVISION) when giving out rewards said that (AND I QUOTE) "I have just been out the back, fisting Norman Lemont" (who was at the time an MP in the house of commons (parliament)

I'd like to add to me earlier comment. Phillip, the silver haired gent, has been on our TV screens for decades. I'm in my mid-40s and he used to present children's television when I was a small boy. So that's a pretty decent career run. And probably why he can get away with being a bit rude and naughty on daytime TV. Haha
A muff is used to warm your hands in the olden days, but the word muff is also a slang word for a ladies' private aria, and the channel the program is on is ITV, as you can see we brits are not so stuffy.
I would recommend trying to find some episodes of Celebrity Juice to react to. It's a celebrity game show with Keith Lemon hosting, Holly as one of the team captains, and Gino "Sheffield" D'Acampo is a regular. Every episode is like this, yet even more offensive.
Yeah, its a morning show, Holly and Phil have gone to do the show still absolutely pissed from the night before, still waring the same stained clothes and not a wink of sleep. It was always after the award showd but it was 'This Morning' no day off till the weekend, so had no choice but go Into work live infront of millions. Such great viewing. 👍
The Irish guy who you see in this video is called Eamonn Holmes and the woman sat next to him in the red dress is his wife called Ruth Langsford. They present the show about 1 day a week.

A muff is used to warm your hands in the olden days, but the word muff is also a slang word for a ladies' private aria, and the channel the program is on is ITV, as you can see we brits are not so stuffy.
Again - your laugh has me crying tears - my face hurts - thank you ❤
2:35 this is great 😂😂✨️
When these guys start to wind each other up it can be hilarious, holly and Phil plusses gino the chef ...brilliant every morning in itv
Another great tonic Mr Beard. Thanks!
The Irish guy who you see in this video is called Eamonn Holmes and the woman sat next to him in the red dress is his wife called Ruth Langsford. They present the show about 1 day a week.
not any more ,they were taken off ages ago, I was so sad, love those two.
@@vallee3140 Ruth is still on Loose Women
Love Julian Clary , he is extremely funny ,appears a lot in Pantomimes
There are quite a lot of Holly and Phil ,innuendo compilations from This morning on youtube.
