I just saw something on TV about Lynda Carter, and I don't think of Wonder Woman when I see her - I think of this show. I remember that I loved the opening, but never figured I'd hear it again. So thanks very much for uploading this! It's as cool a theme song as I remember.
Prior to this series, Lynda Carter was known for portraying Wonder Woman. That television series was more successful because it lasted for three seasons, but it ended due to low ratings and lack of new cast members.
Definetly either not enough viewers in the time slot or the responsibles in the administration had not been satisfied with the result. Originally it had been planed as a concurrence to MEDICINE WOMAN. Personally I am also disappointed that the series wasn´t going on. Afterall, Hawkeye had been an international success but as with other popular show concepts like TIME TUNNEL, THRESHOLD or 7 DAYS and the first STAR TREK series there are other factors in the game a commen TV viewer like us can´t follow up.
Glad someone else out there liked this show! Used to tape this in the afternoon on BBC1, I seem to recall. A DVD release is long overdue. I love the theme by Joel Goldsmith, too - a really underrated composer.
Yes, a very well done series. The script writers really had a feeling for the work of James Fenimore Cooper. Guess it had to do with the success of MEDICINE WOMAN that someone wanted to bring up something against it . But with the downslide of the concurrence so HAWKEYE went downhill as well.
Yeah! A great (literally) great great classic of which I am probably never gonna watch a single episode. I am very happy such a series exists, moreover I thank you, Prosper30, for placing here at least its intro, but the fact that Mill Creek Ent is about to release it (so far as I know on 22 March) on DVD in Region 1 and is not to distribute it outside of North America (as I d need Region 2 product) makes me sad.
@KathrynChristie I was too; in fact, its what started my fascination with the SYW era. nowadays, I volunteer over at a website dedicated to documenting the war, both in the colonies and without.
@AdamGabrielSvabek Can you not purchase a multi-region DVD player where you live? I have one here in the States and it lets me watch DVDs from all over the world...
wow, i hav been looking for this...i dont rememeber the theme song thou....i thought he was handsome....the last i watched this was when he was about to be killed ....
I remember watching this series when I was a child, and I LOVED IT.
Same for me lol. I had a whole lego fort town built up to emulate this show.

I used to love this show too and was very bummed out when the show canceled.

All 3 video clips (Hawkeye Deliver me, Amazed and Realize) are absolutely wonderful. Thank you.

I actually watched this show faithfully. It was pretty good and I was sorry it only lasted for one season.

The Matt Houston (1st Season) DVD comes out on Tuesday (March 9). Let me see if I can get it at Wal-Mart for a low price.
