I loved you on Dancing On Ice mate and to see you doing what I, and many others would consider 'manly work' is a joy for us at home. Thanks Jason. This is top level hedge trimmin! ...G...
ABSOLUTELY stunning, a master at work,, I started my own business last year after watching your videos. Got a Stihl battery unit, Im still on a massive learning curve, bit it's so worth it., so thanks for the inspiration Jason Kind regards Paul
Hey Jason have you thought about investing in a mulch mower then you can just blow the reduced leaves under the hedge to act as mulch. Might make life easier.👍
That's a big lump of a hedge 6:59 backbreaker, hope you charged plenty. I gave up all my bigger hedges this year, spend the time editing videos now instead lol. Doesn't pay as well but its much easier lol
It was a physical hedge cut, but I really enjoy them, I'm a bit sad really 😂, a time will come when I will have to slow down and not do such large hedges, but hopefully another 5+ years before that 🤞. Thanks bertie 👍👍
@@jasongardener3425 Thanks a lot for the reply.. I find your videos so inspirational and informative.. Makes me want to become a gardener 😊. I know you've done a video on tearing apart the blades and sharpening them, but can you do one showing how you 'tickle' them 🤣
behind that fence, what a headache,I was doing yew and beech all day yesterday, the owner was doing some too said do you get used to it, he had blisters and arms were aching, I thought of you, and said no never get used to it.
Of course the cut leaves would all have turned brown in a few days. 😮💨 Sad. But imagine trimiing this monster with secateurs! It takes me forever to do my two hedges, 20 and 40 yards long and only 3 feet high! No brown leaves after, but what a labour! 🥵🤧

Thank you mate, 👍👍
Proper job Jason. Those tripod ladders are brilliant, wouldn’t be without mine . 👍🍺
Wouldn't use any other ladders now love them
Thanks Rob, the tripod ladders are a god send, wouldn't want to go back to normal ladders
👍👍
Nice job Jason. That was a large hedge for sure. Stay safe. 😉👍👍👍👍👍🇺🇸

Fab job. HS 56 are my preferred weapon of choice i have to say.
Thanks mate, yes the 56 is a great trimmer 👌😀
You did a great job trimming that hedge. I bet you were sore after that was done lol. Nice work 🤙
Thanks mate, I didn't feel to bad, as I'm use to it, but I do feel it in general towards the end of the week, but that could be my age too 😂.
👍👍
Great job Jason

Cheers Georgie 😀, didn't get me to bad, dust was worse
👍👍
Using the kombi extension and ladder in a controlled downwards cut shows a good body core strength. True pro workmanship in its purest form 👍
Thanks mate, it's not something I want to do every day 😂, but it's a free gym and get paid too.
Thanks Chris 👍👍
Outstanding
Big thank you 😀👍👍

What, in your opinion, is the best time of year to trim a beech hedge?
July to November trimming, December to March hard cut back 👍
@@jasongardener3425 Thank you. I better get at it then!
Tools:
Stihl hs 56 c
Stihl km 94 rc
Stihl hl-km 145 hedger attachment
12 ft tripod henchman ladder
So satisfying 😙😙🙄
😀👍👍
Great job Jason, it's not like you to use a short reach on the sides of a big tall hedge👍
Thanks mate, arm is playing me up a bit at the time, so changing between machines seems to help to relieve it, old age 🧓😂.
👍👍
Remind me how noisy petrol is ! Battery power for me 👍👍
Yes, noise is a big down side, but do sound nice too.
Cheers mate 👍👍
How often do you sharpen the blades on the HS56?
I take them off completely and totally sharpen twice a year and tickle the blades every month to keep sharp 👍👍

If I get time and remember I will 👍
What brand/model tools do you use?? Love the vids by the way 😜
That's some impressive work. What height is your tripod ladder?
Thanks mate, that was the hendon/ workware10 foot tripod with the legs most of the way out
👍👍
Jason i’d learnt a lot from your videos I’m just wondering I know the prices do vary that was a rough idea when you go to a job and price it up ?
What s name of kutter ?
Hs56 stihl

Sounds like a fun job, I quite like them kind of jobs, as aways interesting to do, plus I'm a gluten for punishment 😂.
Cheers reas 👍👍
When you said large you wasn't kidding.
weren't, beech is hard to trim.
I like a challenge, it's the clean up I hate doing lol.
👍👍👍
You certainly get to work at some beautiful properties.
@@garryclarke7695 I'm very lucky, it's the best office 👍👍
