What an absolutely stupendous reaction from you, dear Blessing. ❤ I just loved watching you stroll through the tune and all of its little twists and turns. Elton John released hit after hit after hit, and no sooner did you swoon over one, than another came to take you away. I'm really glad you took this dive with him. And, my sweet friend, you are looking positively glorious here! You are a shimmering beauty, Blessing, and I just couldn't take my eyes off you on this track. ❤️🥰❤️
What a precious, gorgeous reaction program Mrs. PenPal! When great talent comes your way, watch out-you're the best, and you show that here with your skillful and insightful reaction and analysis.
I first heard this song at 13 in 1974, my sister was listening to it on the album she had just bought. Elton and Bernie Taupin are musical geniuses! So happy to have had that level of talent to listen to growing up! The 70's and 80's are where it's at musically on all types and styles. If you haven't done it already I would love to see your reaction to Elton's song Daniel. Great channel, subbed!!
Shout out to Davey Johnstone on guitar and the late Dee Murray on bass for those gorgeous opening guitar and bass notes glittering like a jewel. Rounding out the band, Nigel Olsson on drums.
The backing vocalists are his band. I think this is a great song that shows off not only Elton on piano, and his amazing voice and sincere singing style, but also the band and their playing. In particular Nigel Olsson on drums/vocals (Nigel's emotional drumming is fantastic) and Dee Murray on bass/vocals are amazing. But Davey Johnstone on guitars/vocals and Ray Cooper on percussion (here tambourine in particular) also stands out. It's a shame that most people don't notice how important the band was to Elton's success.
Great song. But Elton has so many to choose from. A long successful career. One of my favorites is "Candle in the Wind". Both versions, the original about Marilyn Monroe. But I like the tribute to Princess Diana a little more. Keep enjoying, thanks for sharing. 😊🎉❤
This song was #1 just after I graduated high school. the irony was Don't Let the Sun was playing on the radio as Richard Nixon resigned in shame of the Watergate Burgulary scandal , hush money, all the lies he told etc. He had to riesign of face impeachment. now today, the world has gone to sh*t, no one cares what politicians do that is bad. Some people worship them as heroes, makes me sick to my stomach. So everytime I hear this I am reminded of that day Nixon resigned. of course, I also LMAO about that day as well.
@thomastimlin1724. No matter how you look at it, there were dark times in that period of past history too. If you want to know more of this and other scandals, though, I'd refer you to "X", or the revised Twitter since Elon Musk has owned it. Remember information never dies completely, it just gets hidden, usually for political purposes. All I dare to say, is do research on the background of the assets that did the "break-in". It appears it wasn't President Nixon at all, but people above him who was given the spotlight, with the goal of taking down the presidency for their own specific reasons. Also see what Robert Kennedy Jr., the son of Bobby Kennedy, who also was assassinated, has to reveal who he thinks actually assassinated President Kennedy and why. And Martin Luther king, as well as Malcolm X. Some of the insiders in the know claim, they were all part of the Deep State's agenda and plan, the "unelected" who yield tremendous power in the decisions affecting us all. I like your comments, because that shows you're a thinker! THANK YOU!
Wow! I wanna hear from you! This was superb! What should I do next? Let's connect linktr.ee/mrspenpal❤️
This demonstrates why Elton John is superstar.

My boyhood musical hero at the height of his creative powers! Gorgeous, iconic song!
I love the light you brought here

Awwh thanks Richard
Elton's vocals are spectacular, but Davey, Dee and Nigel are doing the most gorgeous backing vocals on this one.

Love this 😀.
But you have to see Elton John ft George Michael with this song live
Thank you
i 100% agree
React to 'your song' by Elton
Elton John is his own category....nothing like he has done ever
You have to compare the original song, George Michael cover and Putri Ariani cover
