- Aves Rapaces. Rapaces ibéricas. Un ave de presa o rapaz es un ave que caza presas para alimentarse, utilizando su pico y sus garras afiladas. Sus garras y pico tienden a ser relativamente grandes, potentes y adaptados para desgarrar y/o perforar carne.
El término "rapaz" se deriva de la palabra latina rapere, es decir, "apoderarse" o "tomar por la fuerza". Muchas especies de aves pueden considerarse en parte o exclusivamente depredadores.

A bird of prey or raptor is a bird that hunts prey for food, using its beak and sharp claws. Their claws and beaks tend to be relatively large, powerful, and adapted to tear and / or pierce meat.
The term "raptor" is derived from the Latin word rapere, meaning "seize" or "take by force" . Many species of birds can be considered partly or exclusively predators
