I sympathise with you. Thank Gd, I don't have the diabetes issues that you do but I can relate to watching the diet (cutting down or eliminating chocolate😟😟), etc. We tend to make plans and then, as your title suggests - the curve ball comes! I don't think I'll ever retire although I'm well past the age, as I'm a freelancer and love working. However, I have exactly the same problem of decluttering! I'm working on it! I pray that you keep healthy and manage the diabetes. Look after yourself. I enjoy your videos and look forward to more.

That is so kind of you! Thank you. I never thought I would ever retire as I enjoyed teaching my pupils so much, but then I met Peter and he and boat life beckoned so that’s why I took the step. I still have three pupils online so I can keep my hand in. Yes, the decluttering is the most difficult thing to conquer. Step by step is the only way to go I guess. I hope you keep well and maybe together we can defeat the clutter! 🙂

    Dear Mary Ann,
One thing about boat life; it is unpredictable. Glad to hear that you are going to look after yourself. I know of a couple of people who have got their diabetes in check but they do have to live a disciplined life.
Let's hope that decluttering becomes your number one priority as time is moving on and before you know it boat life will only be part-time or nonexistent. Is it time to set a date when you will be finished clearing out the house and anything left behind goes into storage? It would be a shame if you missed out on such an opportunity.

Hello Mark. Very sensible comments. I have two children who will continue to live in the house. I don't need to get rid of everything, just make it so they don't keep tripping over my stuff and that the place is comfortable for them whilst I am on the boat. There is another factor as to why I haven't just left for the boat and that is in regards to the health of my youngest daughter but that too is in the plan but not one that can be hurried. My time will come. I am on the boat as I am typing this so all is not lost! Best wishes to you and thank you for commenting.

Thank you for the reassurance. Your move to the water is such a huge lifestyle change, as you well know, and it would be such a shame to miss an opportunity of a lifetime. An opportunity which people like myself can only dream of and sit watching your videos with envy.
      Keep pushing forward.
