The pointy end of the tool is an extractor. Sometimes the center pin comes out but the body of the core stays stuck inside. It’s left hand treaded, so stick in and spin counter clockwise and if all goes right the threads will cut into the body, providing grip, and then you can pull the core out.

Question for you, if the valve core is damaged, is it possible to seal outside air? I’m trying to fill up a pipe with a Schaefer valve(school project) and the second I turn on the compressor (it has a pressure sensor and stops when desired pressure is reached) it immediately turns off no matter the pressure, and when I take it off the pin is always pushed down, compressor isn’t the problem, I tried it on a different tire and worked just fine.

Awesome video, thank you. I tried to remove one on my motorcycle earlier but no luck. It seems like the valve is on tight as can be. I had no luck loosening it. Any suggestions? Thanks, in advance

I would try to squirt it with a little bit of penetrating oil such as PB blaster.

Sir, somehow only my right front and right rear’s valve stem core are shorter compare to left ones after changing new wheels.
So it’s very hard to check air pressure with my gauge since valve stem cores are shorter and gauge cannot touch (or push) the core...
How can i resolve this issue?!

I broke the valve stem. The thin piece with the spring came out and the jacket is stuck in. What do I need to do to get it out?

It sounds like you might need a whole new valve stem replacement and not just a valve core if I understand correctly. The brass core goes inside the rubber stem, Generally the stem is replaceable if you remove, and completely deflate the tire. Sometimes a puller tool is needed to extract the old valve stem from the rim. If you leave the tire on the vehicle to do this you risk damage to the rim.

My tire is off the car. I have a spare on right now.

I Torqued the valve down tight, more than 2 in lbs, will it blow out on me. It’s on a motorcycle, front tire no less.

Less helpful to show just a valve stem than an actual tire/tube that we would actually encounter in the real world.
