In this video, Mayu and I decided to take a short two day trip to a small town in Chiba Japan called Sawara. We rode the cute boats along the tiny river, rented bikes to travel to Katori Jingu Shrine and enjoyed all the local foods and desserts available in the town during summer.
Definitely a fun, outdoor, relaxing trip off the beaten path and highly recommended for those looking to enjoy authentic small town Japan travels.

Hey. Yah the plan was to move in early summer. But her job wouldn't let her quit because of staffing shortages and coronovirus. So she is moving in end of September!

Thank you for recommending the place. It was perfect short trip for us! Yes, you are right, I didn'T see any homeless cats. haha. And yes, because of Corona tourism was down, shops were closed and there was no summer festival. Also about the hotel, there was no sign saying no tattoos allowed. Also, no staff or even many guests so it was pretty much like a private onsen.

Please accept my apology, according to my wife Sawara is beautiful in May with lots of iris blossoms,... it looks like in August there are zinnia and sunflower though so kind of beautiful,... but still, it's so hot and miserable in this country right now,... at least you guys can enjoy suffering together! (so that's kind of a deep bond too, right?) (^_^),... as part of my apology I will explain that I always saw articles and pictures of Sawara in my dad-in-law's Chiba magazine subscription called 「ひまわり」,... hahaha! but of course they will make it look really pretty! (^_^)

Omg i went here over the summer in 2019 and it was amazing!!! It’s such a cute little town and the people are super nice. I stayed in an b&b near the station and i would highly recommend visiting this little town!!!!!!

This video deserves a lot more views. I find your videos so much more interesting than a lot of the larger channels that deal with Japan. I don't even finish their videos most of the time but I can sit through your videos easily. Not sure why your channel doesn't get more views!
