Over the past two decades Carlos Sosa aka DJ Sneak has crafted a unique sound that has gone on to spawn whole genres and enrapture a generation of DJs and producers though little is known about him more than his Chicago roots and those strong opinions.
We wanted to dig deeper and find out where this unique sound and gangster outlook come from so this summer we followed him across Ibiza, speaking to the man himself and those that know him best.
We caught him at Space, Pacha, Tomorrowland, Ushuaia, Underground, on a boat and in the heart of Ibiza Town for a street party, meanwhile Locodice, Carl Cox, Nightmares on Wax, Yousef, Darius Syrossian, Mo' Funk and Joeski all share their love for the House Gangster.
So for the next twenty, kick back, and enjoy some heavy beats, grooves, grilling, and of course a whole load of jacking.

This is an awesome video to watch from one of Chicago's best DJs .It feels like just yesterday that Carlos was airbrushing T-shirts while sitting in the front window of the Hip House at the Brickyard.
Seen him in at mighty my favorite club during that time in SF 2008? seen him many times but this was such a good night and set , and the weather was perfect that time of year in sf during october

I know not having vinyl is a more practical way of DJing, but I personally feel seeing a USB drive in place of it loses the magic and effort of DJing. I might be wrong but I think vinyl is always the way
Sneak has some strong opinions on the House scene, DJ stars, and technology, but I do respect his work and passion for the art of DJing and producing. He is keeping it real love him or hate him. He sounds like a cool dude with a rich history of the House music scene.
