Hey bro I was messing around looking at some model run and something catch my eyes on the HAFS-B ParentRun Time: 18Z Aug 03 ( valid at 00z august 9, 2024 ) show that something passing by Jamaica and also the ICON model is picking up on something too.
Just wondering because you do a great job for the Eastern Caribbean why don't you follow things and talk about storms on the Pacific coast. Things have been building for days over there
I live in central NC.... Fayetteville, NC to be exact, it's outside of Fort Bragg NC......it's hard to even get somewhat of a feel for what we should be expecting....a lot of rain? strong winds?
The forecast gets tricky as it tries to move into your area. It will all depend on if Debby really stalls over the Carolinas and whether the circulation is onshore or offshore. But, I would prepare for the potential of very heavy rainfall. Please keep checking in. -Rusty
@meteomundo rainfall I can take. It's heavy winds that worry me based on where I live. I'm not in a susceptible to flood area in central NC. I have an 80 year old mother that relies on me. Just trying to figure out if by Tuesday morning I need to head up to northwest NC. Thank you for response.

Good afternoon, Rusty. When this system was far out in the Atlantic, there was nothing visible. There was no rotation. It's easy for us to see and understand when these occur as now. It was explained that it was a grouping of energy. My question is, what was that energy ? In what form did it occur, and how can it be explained to the average viewer ?
As of the current track and strength, I’d say 30-40 mph winds with higher gusts, and potentially 4 to 6 inches of rain with locally higher amounts. -Rusty
