This video is one huge optical illusion. The scrim is behind the can but looks like it's the other side of the table. I like the confusion. Great stuff as always.
I thought the stills camera was off to the right and diffuser the far right. But when you start shooting it confused me haha. No biggy just a mildy amusing observation.
11:55 That recycle time makes me happy. It's also great you let people come on your channel and shoot amazing product photography with. I'd have a long expensive flight coming from Indiana, perhaps one day!
Yes, and some people say that it is stupid, and take fast with the cellphone and that is all... That is in my work, and I need do it in the office, and they say, no need do all that things only one photo and that is ok. But I feel bad with myself because is work taht maybe i want show, or they say that i am the one that I do the photos, and the work is not good.
Great explanation, demostration and execution. You guys are a good combo! Martin I will talk to you very soon in our interview and for your followers to get to know you better!!
Greetings from Canada, just wanted to say that your videos have inspired me to be a better photographer and to really look at breaking down my workflow when it comes to lighting. I appreciate these videos, keep up the great work!
i dont mean to be so offtopic but does anybody know a trick to log back into an instagram account..? I stupidly lost my account password. I appreciate any tricks you can give me.
@Kasen Tony I really appreciate your reply. I found the site thru google and im in the hacking process atm. Looks like it's gonna take quite some time so I will reply here later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
@@carlomarchi8611 Yes, if I set "correct" white balance on the raw file the can/background will have correct color: botvidsson.se/download/noccoish.jpg When shooting for the client this is very important.
There are no accidents with light, just a lack of our ability to conceive all the potential effects. The ability to preconceive allows the talented to quickly capture the desired effects but our inabilities in this endeavor allow for the new discoveries within the set properties of light. Thanks for another fine video and don't splash your coffee. That would be an accident.
you are very good! Your videos are a great inspiration! How could I add a nice drop effect? Drops that do not fall, but remain still. I await your reply, thank you so much !!! Maybe a shot with ice and drops? what do you say? Would you do a tutorial? Hi, Silvia Cocco from Italy.
You need a flash with fast flash duration, I use Profoto D2 at low power. You can also use a speed light, they often can freeze motion at the lowest power.
Thanks Robert, hope you're great too. For the moment (for a while now actually) hardcore work period, but I'm not complaining but the channel suffers a bit.
How can I capture like this photo using one manual flash...?? Can you share tutorial on this...No lights, using natural light and one flash or using one manual flash...
Martin, I love your vids but have a test for you. A guitar strap on a white background and another form of background using only two speedlites and a torch. You up for the test ?
I would but unfortunately I don’t have any speedlights. I never recommend people to buy cheap speedlights for product photography because they do not have a modeling light. You end up guessing how the light falls. Too imprecise for me. 😎
Liksom de lampor överallt men när du tog bilden hamna det på datan med de mörka. Fan behöver en coach som dig i livet precis börjat med fotografering osv köpte en Sony a6300 :/

Absolutely, maybe one day, you are very welcome!
I am glad i am not the only one that takes hours and hours to take 1 shot! :) Well done! cracking shot,
It's like this for all photographers, I promise you :)

CTO gel can be avoided by descreasing (or increasing) color temperature by using camera raw filter?
How do you mean "raw filter"? Like tweak it in post? Yes, absolutely no problem.
botvidsson yes in post production with camera raw file..thank u🙏 as usual very crystal clear image

Glad you enjoyed it
Very cool channel! What lens do you use for product photography?
Thanks Pawel! With my Canon 5D I use 100mm/2.8 98% of the time, sometimes 85mm.
When shooting with my Hasselblad I use 120mm macro lens.
