    I guess for those of us that have silver C stands, wrapping a bit of Cinefoil around the boom arm would be effective. And it's a lot cheaper than getting a whole new stand - not that there's anything wrong with having a nice big collection of stands ; )

    Hi, great video as usual! ;) Can you tell what lens are you using that you don't have to make focus stacking? I usually use 100 mm and for object this size I'd probably do stacking.

    • @botvidsson
      @botvidsson  5 років тому +1

      The problem with composite shots like this is that it will be more complicated to do focus stacking. Not impossible but very time consuming. You have to stack every shot, and also place the flash on a stand.
      I always shoot with the 100mm macro lens, the reason I use the 24-70mm in this video is that I want to fit the camera in the video frame, not to have it too far away.

    Hi, I have a question. I use Capture one for live view, i have a nikon d610, is there a way to use an external shutter when I connect a camera to a computer? At the moment I can only take a picture if I click into capture that photo button, I can not click either on the camera or on the external shutter. This is very frustrating and hard because I use a speedlight and I use it from my hand because my stand is used for other things.

    Jag har aldrig fotat med blixt (en riktig blixt) och använder mest lampor för att lysa upp det jag fotar. Hur kontrollerar du vart blixten hamnar? Hur skapar du reflektioner på vissa sidor och objekt?
    Spontant känns det som att blixen skulle slå överallt och lysa på allt.

    • @botvidsson
      @botvidsson  3 роки тому +1

      Anledningen att den inte slår överallt är den ljusmodifieraren jag sätter på blixten, en sk reflektor med en sk honey comb grid. Då blir ljuskällan extremt liten och man kan fokusera på små detaljer.

      It can be a bit tricky to use only one light for shooting advanced perfume bottles. If I had only one light and had to shoot a perfume bottle I would place some kind of diffusion paper behind the bottle (if it's transparent) and lit up the diffusion from behind.
