@@RudyBressers would this work for playing some Luther Perkins style picking that's what I play I'm looking for a pedal to replicate that tone
@@southernpride2003 I'm sorry but I can't say. Unfortunately I don't know who that is or what type of music he plays . 😬
I have a copy of this. I love it's versatility. You can coax just about any modulation effect you wish out of it. Saves you from buying multiple effects pedals. A hidden gem.
It's a nice pedal indeed. You can get some good modulation sounds out of it as you said, and this for a price that's very easy on the wallet :).
I bought this a month ago. I like it. Nice to see someone reviewing it. Thanks!
Thank you! Yeah it's a nice pedal, glad you like it too.
I just bought mine. One question: is it mono or stereo?
Its a mono pedal.
After watching your review on Eno Delay, I bought that. Now I'm thinking: I should buy this one too!
Haha it's always nice to have another delay. Not necessary, but fun though :)
There is actually a very practical reason to want two delays- you can stack them setting the first to about 400 ms and then the second to about 600 ms- and run them in series- you get a really cool sounding reverb effect. Satriani does it and so does Via- at least they did, back in the 80s, Idk about now. They're doing it with Boss analogue delays so, it should work with this one as well.
Unbelievable for that price!
Nice pedal. Awesome demo by the way.
Thanks, I appreciate the comment!
Great demo, buying one now!
Thanks 🙏
Круто отлично звучит,спасибо 👍
Excelente :D
Seems like it's the exact same as the Demonfx Tape Echo, which just has a different color but is also priced $10 higher.
Didn't know that brand, I'm going to check out what else they have. Thanks for the tip!
@@RudyBressers A lot of these Chinese pedals rebrand themselves with weird names all the time. I have a Saphue pedal that's the same as a Kmise as well as a Naomi, Cuvave changes their name all the time and so does Donner. Nux rebrands to Twinote and something else that I forgot now. Often times you'll see the known name being sold for more than the new, unknown name.
Why they do it is beyond me, but it's definitely a trend that I've been seeing for the last 3 years that I'm into aliexpress pedals.
@@Drinkyoghurt Yeah that's true, I've noticed that as well for example with Kmise/Saphue/Naomi/Cuvave/Joyo/Nux pedals. I didn't know the DemonFx pedals, but it's not a surprise if they are simply rebranded pedals.
I can understand why though, it's very easy to do. Just use existing circuits, so you don't have any R&D costs. Get them from the same manufacturer. Maybe add some new artwork and hopefully you can make some quick and easy sales. Saves a lot of work and costs, and you can still earn some money doing that. Not really exciting though for pedal enthousiasts 😄.
I saw a guy comenting on youtube that his demonfx tape echo have mosky writen on the board, I would like to know if there is some difference on components.
@@ubiratanguimaraes6996 I have read the same, but can't say for sure. I don't have the demonfx available so I don't know what's in there exactly.
It’s very good, I don’t understand why it’s so cheap?
Mine seemed pretty dark. Adjusted the gain trimmer and everything. Still seems to add a ton of bass and remove highs from the DRY signal. Feel its good quality but would be better if it left the dey signal in tact...unless its a dud lol
I thought so too, but that is how a real tape echo sounds, pretty much.
Thanks for the awesome demo! Sounds killer but I am not sure whether there is any perceivable loss of quality and clarity in person? Would you say this sounds muffled or messes your tone? Also, do you know if you can use the modulation only with the level know all the way down (no delay)?
OK, I heard the noise second time around. It adds some hiss to the signal from what I can tell.
@@filipkostovski873 Yeah maybe a tiny bit. But seeing that this is a tape echo style pedal, personally I don't mind. Kind of fits with the whole analog vibe :).
It is meant to have a loss in tone/ presence/ highs using a tape delay, or an emulation of such, actually.
The noise could be the cable, outlet, the amp, the pickups, or lighting even. Idk 🤷♂️ I would rule all that out before saying it is the pedal only because it seems to be quiet or low noise or high noise on other review videos. Great review and playing though 👍🏻
keeley mag echo clone?
I believe it is.
What's with the small trim pot? It has a "gain" label too. Did you try to tweak it?
Which trim pot would that be? On the inside perhaps? I didn't see it I'm afraid.
@@RudyBressers yes, when you open the back to access the battery compartment. There is a tiny trim pot --as I think it is-- labeled gain.
@@jmmalabanan557 Missed that one I'm afraid. Good tip though!
@@jmmalabanan557 it adjusts the gain of course, of the dry signal too.
Note: its literally got "K.mag echo (ver 2.0)" written on the PCB in case youve forgotten what its a clone of.
@@jorgepeterbarton 😮
i get me one of this
bought a mosky - broken after three months
That sucks! Maybe try and get it replaced under warranty? (Probably not so easy.)
The mosky becomes a nosky
Can this pedal emulate a spring reverb sound? Thanks..Great demo..Im planning to use it for a snare drum
Thanks! No, not really. A short slapback echo is possible, but I wouldn't call that a spring reverb type sound.
Hi thanks for the demo. Is there a 9v battery compartment?
.
There is, actually, but you need to open it up using a screwdriver.
@@Den_SPb Good to know, thanks for the tip
Does the pedal cause a certain humming or is it just me?
Haven't really noticed a hum. Are you sure it's not your power supply causing the noise?
@@RudyBressers I don't have it, it's just that in the video there is a certain humming or buzzing noise lol. I just wanted to understand why so I can decide weather to by it or not haha 😬
Haha then it's probably just amp hum/buzz (I don't always use a noise gate if it's not too bad).
Or maybe my ears have filtered out that kind of noise after many years of rehearsals and gigs 😁.
Hows the pedal do with gain? I hear its getting loud even when guitar is clean and the level is high
It does fine, at least for me it's not something I've really noticed when playing it.
@@RudyBressers nice demo bro!plan to buy soon this one👍,is this compatible with my NUX AMP FORCE SIMULATOR amplifier effect's pedal?
@@dagoldigol Thanks dude! I don't see why not. Hope you like it :).
@@RudyBressers May i know what guitar effects tone patches applied by Tom Morello's guitar solo of "like a stone"song?
@@dagoldigol Sorry I don't know that one, can't help with that.
Can I use the modulation alone? Without the echo delay? Thanks.
I don't think so, because it's the delays that get modulated.
No. But if you set a super short delay time with one repeat and turn up the modification, you'll approximate what it is you are maybe looking for
$21 at Aliexpress, I'm in.
Very affordable indeed :D
digital or analog
pt2339 digital, not DSP digital
Is this capable of self oscillation?
No, I can't get it to self oscillate.
Wish I would have seen this reply before purchasing. Without the ability to self oscillate I don’t have room for it, but otherwise it’s a fantastic mod-delay bargain.
@@uncoolcentral That's a shame. It's a very nice pedal/deal as you said, just not for those that need it to self oscillate.
Demonfx Tape Echo is the same pedal?
Yes I believe it is.
Can it be used for vocals
Si , puedes usar pedales de guitarra con la ayuda de un preamplificador aumentas el nivel de señal de micrófono a nivel de instrumento
Hey buddy have you heard the news?...
there is no top tempo?
No tap tempo unfortunately.
Hello.. does it have reverb?
Hi! No reverb, only delay
Thanks
ดีไหมครับ
Is it mod of deep blue delay?
I think more like the Keeley Mag Echo?
@@RudyBressers is it good for just playing rock solos?
@@Tommy712rus yes you could definitely use it for that
@@RudyBressers can you make demo in the mix, with distortion? 😸
@@Tommy712rus unfortunately not, I've already sold the pedal. You know how it goes with us guitarists, lots of buying and selling of pedals 😁
Doesn't sound much like the Keeley. It's either too percussive and digital-delay sounding or too dark and analog-delay sounding.
Nailing that Echoplex style delay is quite difficult. There were a few moments when you had it sounding close to the Keeley, especially when you turned up the modification
I still bought it because at $45AUD posted, it's gonna save my "fancy" delays from getting used all the time.
*modulation
Damn Chrome won't allow you to edit in UA-cam. I'm not currently in the app
Yeah it's still a good value pedal to have either as a backup, or for something that's a little different. At that price point it's not a bad choice, even if it doesn't sound exactly like the Keeley.
did you do a direct comparison or just compared videos?
