Just so people know in the future. The reason the camera man had to stand so far away from interviewees is because people from the Meadow Well are notorious cannibals and will jump on you without any warning. It's for the safety of the crew. Keep this in mind if you ever find yourself in the Meadow Well.

They were at rock bottom & really had nothing to lose.
It sent a clear message of absolute satanic fury of being left to live their lives & die & in destitution.
The fires would invite & draw the representatives of the governments attitude to them…. The Police.
The deaths of the two young lads from the area was the last straw.
The area was pretty much on its last legs a rough run down nasty place to be …& they finished it off.
Then by destroying the last of it they would possibly have to be helped, listened too & respected even if they were not liked.
Then maybe new things get built ….which they were.
When the old Tower comes crashing down. A new one rises from the ashes.
It’s no surprise it came to that point of sheer destruction.
It was always more not a case of if but when.

Was born and lived on the estate. My Mum and Dad’s house was on Avon Avenue. The people who started the riot,,, Didn’t even live on the estate and had nothing to do with the area. So why some of theses comments about people who lived there where the Destroying there own community and are Vile and putting the blame on the people who live on the estate. Do your research and find out the facts before pointing the finger and jumping to your own conclusion on what you are watching and listening to by the news reporter. Just my thoughts you’re not getting told the whole story. Probably most of the residents on that estate didn’t even leave their homes….

If I remember right it all kicked off because there was a load of twoc at the time and the police rammed the two lads off the road but told lies about something and people who knew them knew the truth and weren't happy.

Evening Chronicle we’re paying kids to kick off so they could get photos and imaginary stories to sell papers.
