Anyway, low score challenge. This was torture. I know it seems cheap to use savestates but seriously this stuff is annoying. If you didn't have to wait 8 minutes to do a frame perfect jump, I wouldn't have used them. But that's just stupid.
This is my longest challenge video to date. SMG2 min transformations was technically longer but a lot of it was uncut footage showing clears of the stars. I think I'll definitely do some low score stuff again in the future but hopefully in an easier game, haha.
As for why I censored the score, it would just get confusing if I cut to old footage where I have a lower score. I feel having the current total on screen at all times is much easier to digest.
I was talking to Sleeve Gaming and we do think there's a slight chance that the score could go down a bit more in the ghost house. If you can somehow get a star over there and kill one of the boos, it would screw up the flagpole's increasing point chain. But god knows how we'd get a star there.

**Couldn't you reset the toad houses with a game over?**
Yep. I just uhh... didn't know about that. I told a couple of people about having to redo the run and none of them said anything so I assumed there was no way. I never had a game over in this game - as a kid I was terrified of them so I always quit to the home menu lmao.
**Why did you hide the score?**
It's right there in big numbers at the top of the screen. I didn't want a repeat of my No Left video where I cut to a clip of another challenge for context and people complain that the score is higher so I'm therefore cheating.
**Stop jumping on the bandwagon and make unique content**
I was doing these videos before any of the people you claim I rip off. Maybe check the dates before getting all mad at me. If you're upset that I'm becoming successful, I don't want you subscribed anyway!

I'm so glad that you found my video useful and that you were able to even get close to my score. This run is stupidly difficult.
Regarding the last 2 bosses, I'm not sure why that you cannot end it with 0 on the clock but my guess is that those particular bosses use a special boss transition to allow a cutscene to play afterward. Because of that, the timer will just kill you when it reaches 0.

These kind of challenges makes me wish we could add "anti" clear conditions to Mario Maker. Such as avoid coins or kill no enemies.
That would actually add a lot of really cool and unique level designs into the game. Everything can become a hazard, even coins.

... I mean, maybe I could settle on the lowest *reasonable* possible score of 43,850 points (+550 1-second-timer points from 1-1, 1-2, 1-3, 5-1, 5-3, 5-T, 5-4, 5-G, 8-1, 8-2, 8-7). But 11 frame-perfect jumps in a single run that you *must* hit first try? Oof.

When I first watched it, in my head I was thought that it would be some sort of Option D because:
A) There is a Red Toad House that you can get a Propeller Mushroom from
B) Having the answer being an option you weren't given is something I've seen in other videos (however I can't remember any of the top of my head) and M&L:PIT.

Just watch out because if you game over with items in your inventory, you lose them, this means you can’t grind mini mushrooms.
The answer to the question is the following: You can go to the red toad house (and if you want, check the pattern by going row by row and looking up that pattern) and get a propeller mushroom (No mini mushrooms for reasons he explains later) and do the momentum glitch and then use the propeller to get up to the top of the flagpole.

Save states are nessasary for this challenge mayro. Some people don’t understand that save states arent cheating they are just making your life some much easier

14:09 I'm not sure if anyone has said this, but if you get a game over, all of the houses respawn, so you wouldn't actually have to replay anything.
No Coins, No Powerups, No Killing Enemys, No Star Coins, No Breaking Bricks, Not Allowed to touch checkpoints, and cant touch the flag pole as earlier as 0 seconds on the timer. AND CANT EVEN TOUCH THE FLAG POLE UNLESS YOU GET A 1-UP
The fact people say you sold out and you arent making unique content ~ same people who supported you during SMG2 but cause more people are coming and you're growing, they're getting salty.

If you go game over, you'll respawn the mushroom houses. So you didn't need to replay the challenge.

So you're saying the success of this run is entirely up to luck, because you need to get a Propeller Mushroom, a Mini Mushroom, AND a Super Star from a luck-based minigame.
It's not a luck based minigame, the panels have preset locations.
Just keep resetting the save states until you get what you need.
Why didn’t you just use a propellor suit with yoshi. You could have easily passed the coins.
