The people who are telling you that your lizard is underfed and dehydrated are secretly lizards that want more to eat and drink.

My beardie refuses to drink water, so I make sure to spray his food with water and give him food that has a lot of moisture. His poops and urates look fine despite him not wanting to drink water. Similar to how humans are all individuals but have baseline needs, reptiles are the same way. I think a lot of people just want to get into arguments, make others feel bad, and feel as if they're making a positive impact on an animal's life (when in reality they are relatively uneducated about animal husbandry).

Heya.....so. I think that's a great video. However my bearded dragon insist that it's all wrong, that bearded dragons are usually underfed, if not starved and need much more food, especially bugs.... a lot of bugs, all the time. At least that's what Akura is thinking....
By the way: can I feed my bottomless beardie too much greens? Can they get fat from greens???
Wish you and all your lovelies a wonderful Christmas

Great vid one thing I think u forgot that people tend to not include in their thought process when considering if a lizard is too skinny or dehydrated especially when they use oh it has wrinkles is the lizards age because as they get older they tend to get more wrinkles

So I have a question. Ever had a bearded dragon that hated any type of bug and refused to eat any type of salad or fruit??

He really looks offended that you're talking about his wrinkles or fat pads. 😂
I am curious about why you do 4 days of greens and 2 days of veggies? Is it not ok to mix them? I usually use spring mix with no kale or spinach or a bag of 'southetn greens', which has mustard, collard, and turnip greens mix, and i usually throw in squash, carrots, sweet potato, etc so he had something bright color which i heard was good. I also frequently put in green beans just because he loves them. But honestly, i give him salad/grerns every day, and he rarely eats much, if any. He only likes superworms and the occasional horn worm. He's picky and won't eat crickets or Dubias either. I have tried everything with the greens - hand feeding, bee pollen, this special beardie 'salad dressing' that is supposed to entice them, etc, but he just side eyes me. I worry about him, but he has regular poops and urates,, and fat pads. He seems healthy? I just keep providing greens, whether he eats them or not, and i give him superworms because i know he will eat them. I

ik that feeling. My Beardie once broke a foot, she healed perfectly but she isnt that massive crackhead she once was (hyperactive) and way more laid down. Now people are complaiing that I downsized her tank. man ppl are weird. know nothing about an animal but still complaining... would I keep any other beardie in a 80g? absolutely not. Is it perfect for her. 100%

    Hello
Can you tell me what foods that can help runny poops for a bearded dragon? Hes been getting soaks for about 15 min every other day. Maybe I need to bathe him longer.

Completely anecdotal, non-scientific evidence of 1 iguana I had in the mid 90s. My iguana ate a couple leaves off a plant a roommate had. He was a big boy, maybe 5 feet at the time. He was pretty much in a vegetative state for a day and a half and it must have "relaxed" his bowels because EVERYTHING came out. He seemed confused, lethargic, not very alert. I called multiple vets and none of them had any knowledge of what it would do to him, so we just waited and watched and he was fine the next day.... but I was very concerned as his breathing seemed very slow too. He definitely did not enjoy his trip. I know if can be useful in other animals for pain management and increasing appetites, but I wonder how you would figure out how much is ok vs what would be too much.

Honestly, I think it really depends on the animal as well! I sometimes use for medical/pain reasons, and I’ve had two cats with histories of fairly severe musculoskeletal trauma. The first one use to come over and sit on my lap when I was getting ready to smoke, and get annoyed if I was moving too slowly 🤣 The other literally runs away when he smells it, altho it would benefit him considerably. As we consistently seem to say around here, all creatures have different personalities and likes and dislikes! 🙏🪴
