I just did this following your instructions and it worked beautifully. Done in about 10 minutes and glad to be rid of the nagging warning message. Thank you for sharing.
hey mate, don't short circuit. If you accidently added more soldering wire, suggest you remove it by bringing the soldering iron on the connectors and using a screw driver to separate them. I hope I understood it correctly ?
www.diyaudi.com/Home/Entries/2011/5/14_Audi_A4_Third_Brake_Light_Removal_and_Install.html Please use these instructions on how to remove it. Just make surr you pull the light down in the direction of the windscreen not downwards.
This is common issue, this light was hit and miss in my car. Somedays it would and other days it won't. Follow the solution in the video it will fix both light and warning
Was your light completely out before sautering or was just a few? I’ve tried to sauter it but it hasn’t seemed to work. Most of the lights are on except 4 or 5.
Hey mate, yeah that can be pretty hard job to put that back. I managed to put it back by first - holding the roof lining a bit low so that it doesn't block and then putting a bit of pressure until I hear a clip sound. Mine came off but I had to re do it because I though its back in but when it was not. Let me know how you go.

I have the same problem but my car is A5. Are the two brake lights the same they look the exact same I can’t seem to find any other online
It's my first time doing the soldering, can I ask is it okay if the two connector rings being connected? will this affect the circuit work?

hi, I bought a new lamp but the problem did not go away
Did the light work before fixing the bug in the console?

@@codenameFourtySeven I found the problem, the contacts of the lamp were sulphated. I cleaned them with a very fine screwdriver and it was solved.
@@DanyLX Glad you found the issue. It is a very common issue I have seen in many Audi Forum posts.

I had it all running and then off with a warning on a dash
@@letmereviewitso with only a few of the bulbs out it is not a connection issue?
How do you put it back? Mine won’t stay

Pull back (towards the centre of the car) sharply. Make sure the clips are positions correctly as they may have come out of position during removal.
HOW to disconnect the alarm meanwhile waiting for a new LED? Having a EU-control tomorrow....
Hi Mate, is the alarm going off after removing the brake light ?
@@letmereviewit no, it did not.
I tried but i think mine is broken. LEDs light up very very faint and the warning icon comes up every now and then.
That could be an issue or somewhere there is a weak connection that is causing some resistance
How do u pur so it shows km/h
Its an Australian Version Audi A4
Pehla nasha on cd player lol
If you know, you know 😅
Unfortunately this is not same as 2011
Oh no, but they are still getting the same issue though?
