This was around the time I first met Ron...at a 'comedy' club in Ozark, Alabama. I don't even think the place exists anymore.
I'll always miss this guy. No one will ever replace him.

I saw Ron perform in Calgary, shortly before he was diagnosed with cancer. He made us laugh, sold some merch after the show, took pictures with fans... I'll never forget how great this guy was.

Love this guy! We became friends not to long before he passed. Got to meet him face-to-face once at the Tropicana.

THANK YOU for uploading this! This is the video from Showtime that first introduced me to Ron Shock. EVERY joke he told was a classic! It was like the first time I saw Sam Kinison on the Rodney Dangerfield special. I always thought Ron would be a bigger star! RIP.

I saw him at a comedy club in San Antonio a few years ago. He shared his story about being chased by state police when he wad a teenager. It was very hard to not laugh at any of the details of the story, even the ones about him being shot at by one of the state troopers. My favorite part of the story:
"The state trooper pulls out his service pistol, which I can see is a .357 magnum revolver. Do you know how big the barrel of a .357 magnum revolver is? I tell you, it is quite big, especially when it is pointed at YOU."
My sides hurt from the laughter I fall into whenever I recall the details he gave.

Man, love Ron, many years ago I believe in the late eighties or early 90s I met Ron at a comedy club in Baton Rouge louisiana. He was a great down-to-earth fella and I'm sad to see that he has passed.❤ he was a little different than everybody else and extremely funny

Ron is great. I can also see some mannerisms which were possibly picked up by Bill Hicks, I mean these guys hung out together.

Back in the 80's the new at the time Fox network had a Saturday night program called Comic Strip Live, and 4 of my all time favorite comedians we're featured on it. 3 of them are deceased. They are Ron Shock, John Fox, and Dennis Wolfberg (RIP gentlemen). The only one still alive is George Wallace.

The old-school camcorder-quality recording of the passing road at the beginning and the end gives the video a nice touch!

Bill says that story happens in Baton Rouge, Ron says in another telling it happened in Lake Charles. Id believe it in all 3 cities then and now.

He didnt start doing comedy till he was 40 years old! I saw a clip with him...Bill Hicks...& a few other comedians talking about the worst night on stage. His first night was both awful & funny af!
