Thanks very much for the tutorial.. I am more of a visual sewer so having your step by step tutorial will make these bags so much easier… Usual bags and myself are not friends lol.
Fat quarter shop is one of the very best places to buy this long with the zippers and Lori also has an excellent . But Laura is always such a good teacher!
I ordered this panel from my local quilt store and have already made 2 of them. The pattern is by Lori Holt and she has a tutorial on UA-cam showing how to make the bags with lining. Thank you Laura. Great inspiration
I like how you presented the panel in your tutorial and your steady-as-you-go presentation. You give reminders (i.e. zipper pinning, the side tabs) in just the right places.😊
I have both of her zippy bag panels and the coordinating zippers. Now I know why I have been waiting for a great tutorial of doing them with lining and those box corners. I’m going to add some featherweight double fusible to add a little more stability them.
Thank you. I love the different variations. I'm be getting this panel. I saw this when Lori Holt first brought them out. But now I'm excited to make them. As always, great instructions. Love the new haircut. Blessings for a fabulous weekend. 😊❣️
Thank you, Laura, for a wonderful tutorial! The tip about pinning the zipper on the other side really impressed me! I will be trying that! I love these bags! Who doesn’t always need an extra bag?!?! I sure do! Thanks for showing us how to line it, too! I do prefer my bags lined!
Thanks for figuring out and sharing how to add a lining, Laura. I would not have tried to figure it out on my own and you did make it look So Very Easy. Much appreciated! I am sure that most of us quilters and sewists have a good selection of fabric that we could use to cuatomize our bags. Thanks again from sunny Alberta! 😎
I ordered this months ago. Thank you so much for this video. I get so confused sometimes with things like this. You rock!. I love watching your channel. 💗💗💗
Great instructions! Thanks. Have you seen the June Taylor “Zippity-Do-Done” zippers? They are so much easier to install & no zipper foot needed. These work especially well when doing the bags with vinyl front (I love them for cosmetics so you can see what you’re looking for).
I’m not sure why she left so much; but it was to allow for seam allowance when sewing up the side seams. It can get pretty bunchy around the ends of those zippers. And bc you hv to sew the lining separately from the exterior. You need to be able to separate them.
Wouldn't it be possible to box the bottom corners of the lining and bag if done at the point where you are sewing the sides? Granted you would have to do 4 of them ...
Laura I have a question on the bag with the lining when you topstitch the zipper are you top stitching just the panel fabric or are you top stitching through the lining with that 3/4 inch not being stitched. I'm a little confused on that step.
I can't find a store, physical or online, who has the zippy bag fabric and zippers. I clicked the link you provided, but it's only for wholesalers and retailers. Can you advise where you purchased your set? Love your channel, thank you so much!!!
To get the fabric , you have to order from the FQS. I will NOT order from them any longer since they cheated me out of 15 dollars for expedited shipping. Nope, I do not like them and they will no longer receive my business.

Laura, your teaching & instructions are so simple that a child can follow. Weldon & all the best. ❤
What a brillinat idea to pin on the other side of the zipper! Thanks for that! X

What fun. Great idea for gifts. You make things look easy and watching you it is. Thank you

I love these easy bags!! Adorable. As a person with hearing deficits. I never have a problem following along. Keep up the great work. 🎉
I am so glad that you are able to follow along. Most people do not know but I also have a bit of a hearing problem,
This is so pretty.😊

very cool
Cute!
Does anyone know why she left 3/4 of an inch on each side when she was doing the zipper

@@susanmei9980 yes, you were probably right thank you for responding

hi were can i find the stright pins
Do you know why the zipper is so far down on the bag rather than at the top??

Can we iron on vinyl prior to sewing.
sure, good idea
Did you use an interfacing on the panel before sewing?
no it was not needed

The bag fabric is a panel and I purchased mine and the zippers at quilt shops
I went to Blake designs but it wants me to sign up as a wholesale buying 500$ in product. Not interested in that, is there another option?
I think the Fat Quarter shop has the panel and zippers.
Why does Riley Blake's website require you to log in to see the prices?
Because they are a wholesaler that sells only to stores
❤❤
Much prettier with hair up!
Those are so cute! Why are the zippers so long? It seems like a waste of zipper. 😂
Easier to sew with a longer zipper. Or you can use them for other projects.
It makes them so you can use them for any bag . and it easier to use
To get the fabric , you have to order from the FQS. I will NOT order from them any longer since they cheated me out of 15 dollars for expedited shipping. Nope, I do not like them and they will no longer receive my business.
My quilt store had this in stock as I have this panel.
thank you , I will try my local shop. Again, thank you @@lindasmith5711
Lots of other places sell the panel...for less cost of shipping
MSQC carries another version of these bags; although they are currently out of stock.
58”x58” panel. $38.50! 😱
Wow, ok thank you so much.@@susanmei9980
