I love every "makeshift gun made out of everyday appliances" design. Idk why it's just I love looking at them and seeing every little bit that went into making a functions firearm.
It kind of bothers me. Granted, having make-shift guns is cool and makes sense, but looking at the guns a lot of the parts look pointless and goofy, as well as some of the attachments being semi-unrealistic, which is more of a me problem as I am sort of a stickler when it comes to realism (I understand it's a game). Thats just my two cents. Not saying you're wrong, just throwing in my perspective.

Metro has many of it´s guns build from scratch. The only exceptions are the revolver (2033 and last light), the kalash, AS VAL, saiga and the P90s bigger brother (forgot it´s name). Everything else is build from scratch.

You know, I just had a random thought while watching this. Instead of throwing away the empty magazines, wouldn't the Captain want to save them for use later, since mags would be scarce in the post apocalypse? I mean then again, they could probably craft more.
They do for the AR-C. I think they do for more of them as well, it's just not as apparent in those animations as it is for the AR. You can see that they keep hold of the clip they eject when they're reloading the 1911 and the MP5, for instance.

all im gonna say is far cry new dawn was the perfect time to reintroduce the jamming mechanic. Rusty old guns barely surviving nuclear fallout and aging without any owner to care for and maintain. So not only would it had made sense for the time period but it would also have introduced an interesting mechanic to play around just like in FC2. And they could have added an option to turn it off for more casual players. Woulda been sick
I like how the MS16 and the MP40 have camera shake now during their reloads. It just goes to show that all a reload needs to have order to look its best is some good old fashioned camera shake. The RPG reload feels a lot better as well. It felt really weightless and unbelievable in FC5, but I do miss the hammer click though. The SPAS-12 reload is also a lot better than FC5's, which is not to say that the one in FC5 was bad.
I think it's funny how throughout far cry, the guns seem to always be mirrored from their real life counterparts They're always (almost always) a left handed version of the gun, with the ejection port and such on the left side, yet you still shoot right handed.
I wish that other post Apocalypse games had more makeshift weapons like the pipe guns in fallout 4 , bandit variant from borderlands , metro built ones for the vibes
I love how in Far Cry 5, weapon viewmodels origin is just quite off the screen, and now in Far Cry New Dawn, weapon viewmodels origin are close to the screen.
I dunno why, but I love this game and its vibe for some reason. Yeah, it's got lots of plot holes and bad writing, but its kinda special to me. I've last played it a couple years ago and still got Highwaymen radio tracks on my playlist. Btw, at 5:49 this AR-15 is so rusty its bolt carrier doesn't move. But it still works, what a craftsmanship!
Notice how with the rifle ones, they don’t get rid of the empty mag, instead saving it because I’m the wasteland, resources are limited so it would be a waste to get of the mag, empty or not.
Ive always had a sort of endearment for the ranking in this game, it makes people use guns they wouldnt have thought to use before, i think it makes the game a little more fun
The animations for the Rusty MP5, Rusty 1911, Rusty M133, and Rusty AR-C are probably some of the most logical in this game. For the MP5 and M133 in particular, these animations really show that the internal mechanics of the weapon are pretty much locked up. For the MP5, I like how your character has to physically force the maagzine into the weapon to actually reload before punching the bolt forward in anger. For the M133, your character is forcing the shells into the magazine because the tube is partially locked up. It really gives a sense that these weapons are NOT in good condition and desperately need cleaning and repairs.
Spot on m8 and has such a cool and fast reload, now that's my go to weapon to take out large groups of enemy's, less time reloading and more time spraying, u play ps4?

The best weapons to use throughout the game are are the Optimized Vector 45. acp (Rank III), the Optimized RAT4 (Rank III), the "Lucky Shot" compound bow (which is the only elite weapon you'll need), and finally the Guerilla Gear 44. Magnum handgun (Rank III). If you upgrade the Compound bow ten times, it can kill any enemy in the game with one shot (including enforcers). You don't need to do any upgrades on the RAT4, but focus all of your efforts into upgrading the Rank III Vector 45. acp and the 44. magnum handgun. I upgraded the 45. acp 100 times, and it would shred through anything. Enforcers and Monstrous animals stood no chance. Elite weapons are powerful, but the bow is really the only one you need in that category. Everything else will be much cheaper and essentially do the same amount of damage.
nice loadout but bringing mg42 blunderbuss will also very helpful especially when u want goes unga bunga on enemy outpost and expedition mode where u literally being crowded my tons shit of enforcers

Slingshot is hard to use, but once you know how to use it, slingshot is the most fastest weapon if you want to use arrows instead of bullets. It also the best weapon to fight against plane or chopper (use the explosive arrow). No matter what weapon you use, shovel is too OP even Heavy in Infamous difficulty had no chance against it
Why does the elite AJM Blood Dragon sound suppressed, but it isn’t counted as a stealth weapon. Is it supposed to be a stealth weapon, or did they initially intend to make it a stealth weapon but change their minds and forget to change the sound?

I think it's funny how throughout far cry, the guns seem to always be mirrored from their real life counterparts
They're always (almost always) a left handed version of the gun, with the ejection port and such on the left side, yet you still shoot right handed.
You've got the recurve bow and compound bow mixed up. The first one is a compound bow the 2nd is a recurve bow.

I dunno why, but I love this game and its vibe for some reason. Yeah, it's got lots of plot holes and bad writing, but its kinda special to me. I've last played it a couple years ago and still got Highwaymen radio tracks on my playlist.
Btw, at 5:49 this AR-15 is so rusty its bolt carrier doesn't move. But it still works, what a craftsmanship!
Notice how with the rifle ones, they don’t get rid of the empty mag, instead saving it because I’m the wasteland, resources are limited so it would be a waste to get of the mag, empty or not.
Ive always had a sort of endearment for the ranking in this game, it makes people use guns they wouldnt have thought to use before, i think it makes the game a little more fun

Those are not "makeshift" weapons.
If you want an example of makeshift weapons, look at fallout 4s or 76s pipe rifles. THOSE are makeshift weapons.
They’re repaired old weapons that have stood the test of time.
I love the feature that rusty weapons aren't working well
The animations for the Rusty MP5, Rusty 1911, Rusty M133, and Rusty AR-C are probably some of the most logical in this game. For the MP5 and M133 in particular, these animations really show that the internal mechanics of the weapon are pretty much locked up. For the MP5, I like how your character has to physically force the maagzine into the weapon to actually reload before punching the bolt forward in anger. For the M133, your character is forcing the shells into the magazine because the tube is partially locked up. It really gives a sense that these weapons are NOT in good condition and desperately need cleaning and repairs.

The best weapons to use throughout the game are are the Optimized Vector 45. acp (Rank III), the Optimized RAT4 (Rank III), the "Lucky Shot" compound bow (which is the only elite weapon you'll need), and finally the Guerilla Gear 44. Magnum handgun (Rank III). If you upgrade the Compound bow ten times, it can kill any enemy in the game with one shot (including enforcers). You don't need to do any upgrades on the RAT4, but focus all of your efforts into upgrading the Rank III Vector 45. acp and the 44. magnum handgun. I upgraded the 45. acp 100 times, and it would shred through anything. Enforcers and Monstrous animals stood no chance. Elite weapons are powerful, but the bow is really the only one you need in that category. Everything else will be much cheaper and essentially do the same amount of damage.
nice loadout but bringing mg42 blunderbuss will also very helpful especially when u want goes unga bunga on enemy outpost and expedition mode where u literally being crowded my tons shit of enforcers

Slingshot is hard to use, but once you know how to use it, slingshot is the most fastest weapon if you want to use arrows instead of bullets.
It also the best weapon to fight against plane or chopper (use the explosive arrow).
No matter what weapon you use, shovel is too OP even Heavy in Infamous difficulty had no chance against it
