I was one of the protesters in this video! It was a great night in Nashville with such a talented artist! During filming I actually got to talk to Toby about my personal struggles and he stopped and listened. Toby told me he wanted to send a message and reach the lost. I'll never forget how humble he is. This experience has gotten me closer to God and continues to move me. No matter how hard life can be, give it all to God. Love will break thru! I wish I could tell you how hugely important this song has been to me. Both my parents died and my husband left me all in a time period of 6 months. I was battling crippling anxiety and fighting it and fighting God. Finally, I just told him, Lord if you want me to have anxiety, I'll have it. Just don't leave me. I felt his peace, and my life began to turn around.

People of color have prayed, sang, and spoken life sence the penning of the Constitution. These are inspiring words but faith without works is as dead as a 🚪 nail.
The Jesus I studied in the scriptures would not have recognized a nation founded on slavery. Furthermore, the Jehovah of the Old Testament was also a God of war.
I have always been Christian but I always questioned if god was real. I signed up to goon a 7th grade mystery trip thinking it was all fun and games but I was SO wrong I had no idea what God had in store for me. After dinner we would come together and worship our savior but I still did not understand. On the 3rd night, our pastor asked for us to all pray on our own I was really nervous because I didn’t know how to reach out to god and ask for forgiveness but I tried. I prayed for my sins and everyone’s sins to be washed away I asked to show those non-believers to be shown the light from god and I asked that everyone was safe. when I finished praying and I opened my eyes I could FEEL that I was CHANGED I felt as though I was clean and I knew that he Lord had washed away my sins. It was such a short moment but it changed my life.

I’ve always been a Christian. Unexplainable things have happened, even miracles, but my whole life changed for me on a random night in the middle of the school year in 6th grade after a particularly rough day when kids thought that I was a good person to practice their insults on, and when the band started playing songs, I just gave myself up and I never had felt peace like that where I didn’t care, I was just so in love. I won’t say that I don’t go through life with doubts, but I’m thoroughly changed and I can still feel that peace.
This comment gave me hope. I feel your peace because that is the joy that God instills in us.
That’s awesome. I didn’t really become a Christian until I was about 28 and I found that same peace you mentioned.

It's called intercessory prayer for our brothers and sisters in Christ and for this hurting world. We intercede for them. We must be saved through baptism in The Father+son+Holy-spirit and must admit we are sinners in need of Christs redemption to be saved and called righteous (see Mark 1:5 and 3:6 and 1 Kings 13:6). Then and only then those the Father hear our prayers (+ we ask for forgiveness for any known sins along the way our walk with Christ) cause the scriptures say;James 5:16 "The prayer of the righteous availeth much" and in John 9:31 says "31 We know that God does not listen to sinners, but He does listen to the one who worships Him and does His will." He turns his face away from sinners cause he is pure and just God. He is loving but our free will to sin keeps him from helping at times.

My name is Halle I'm 11 I love this song so much but every time I listen to it I cry because my G-Pa died from cancer and he was such a Godly person and I this song was at his funeral but I loved being reminded of him because he just made me so happy. he was never a Christian until God's love broke through and he just got so much closer to God and I remember him being in the hospital and me saying my I love you I thought all going to be over for me but I knew he would want me to keep going and spread the word of God

I get choked up watching this, especially when the old man grabs their arms and pulls them down on their knees next to him to pray together. This is what is going on right now, for real. The family of God should be showing the rest of the world how to love on each other in spite of our differences. God have mercy on us.
I've been listening to this song for years. I still can't get through the video without crying. The grandfather knows ! gets me every time as well .
Really paints the picture of two people fighting with so much hate and resentment they are blinded, but if only they had the wise perspective (Like of an old man who has seen and heard all this before) they could finally see how much destruction and self-harm they are really promoting. The old man knows where this ends if it continues, and he is trying to do everything he cant to stop them driving off the cliff, but no one will listen.

I’ve been practicing the same thing for a couple of months I’m against secular music it’s very dangerous it will keep your mind in a state of depression and anger lust and so on I only use music for worship like it was intended for

I listen to secular music but not that much at all and I don't go for any depressing ones or songs with bad meanings or that are dark, I'm quite careful when it comes to that. That goes for hip-hop and rap, I don't fill my head too much with it. However, most singing songs I listen to are Christian. I really like this song, would be perfect for stuff like Black Lives Matter. I'm Christian also.

My kids they play video games and they always try to remind other people that god loves you and will always be there for you I'm so proud of them
I was a religious kid, went to church every Sunday sang songs about Noah and the plagues of Egypt, and all of that good stuff. But when I was around 13 I started questioning all of that, got into some pretty bad stuff. Then I went with my friend to her youth group Wednesday night when I had nothing better to do and I remember on that night I was changed spiritually, like a switch was flipped. Love had broken through. This song gets me every single time, I'm no where near the girl I was then. I really was a hopeless fool and now I'm hopelessly devoted. This song describes my life so perfectly it's amazing. God is good my friends.

me too but since im pretty young its kinda hard for me to understand the bible because its not at my reading level. I dont understand all the vocabulary that well either. Does anyone have a way to get closer to god that i can really understand and believe

Talk to Him about all your concerns and all your life and He will change you as long as you are willing to let Him in to your life.

These are things that I do and may they help you: First pray before you open the people, use a devotional book that help you to understand the passage, read together with other people and talk about it, read the passage in different bible translations or languages (Do you know the "Youversion Bible" App? It's such a great app!), write down what you understand and also what you don't understand, what the passage tells about God and maybe about you, your realationship to God and your life. Don't give up, I'm praying for you. Have a wonderful day. (Sorry I'm not an english speaker, but I tried it :D)
