Going by your nose and palate I guessed the same as you, especially when you mentioned the rye spice in the end one. Turns out to be the opposite. Who knew? I'm surprised you can still get C923. It's gone from my area. Wish I'd bought more (3). A buddy bought 9.
If I can ever get my hands on a RR 13 for MSRP (only seeing it for $300+ in the South Bay), I would love to do the same blind since I have the other bottles.
ECBP I can get - the Russels 13 I got only because I won a lottery & only saw one Baker’s 13 ever ($650 was too much)- congrats your able to get them - all great pours!
For Baker's 13 you say peanuts on the nose, peanuts on the taste (almonds too), finish is nutty like an almond latte. That's not a review. No fruit flavors? No spices? No offense to you, but now I get why all these whisky reviewers do competitions, because their standalone reviews can't stand up on their own. All I learned is higher proof and bolder flavor is what you prefer.
Yeah I mean it is a bourbon so I do get vanilla caramel and spices as well but the unique thing is the peanuts and almonds :) It is certainly a learning curve to provide good tasting notes you can connect with. Doing my best and always learning. Thanks for the feedback!
My experience is you always start with the smell of spices, then after you taste it you can go back and pinpoint the smell of fruits through the taste. Funny thing is my Baker's 13 (2nd floor) has little peanut, and is super heavy on fruits and tobacco.

Great video. Helped me decide if I should stock up on more C923 (Already have 3)
I love bakers 7. So was wanting to find a 13 for my 13th anniversary in march. Hopefully i can make it to an allocated sale this season
If RR13 and ECBP were really so close, ECBP won given its pricing and availability
