A comfortable, dust-free cab, heat and A/C - what's not to like? You were buying it for Christy! Yeah, yeah, that's what you were doing!
Okay Tim, I’m going to get you out of this jam. When you get home, tell the finance committee chairwoman that you have purchased her a snow pusher with a cab and heat so she won’t get cold pushing snow this winter. Yep, problem solved! Let us know how this works out. 😂
All great ideas. Regardless I’m anxious to see future episodes about this tractor. Especially with the finance committee, lol!
Speaking of Lol, I was literally laughing out loud through his whole description of what happened buying that tractor
@@phild9813 yes sir! I think the cab is what got him. The cab was the bait, and when Tim bit the bait the tractor set the hook and he just couldn’t stop flapping his 🖐 in the air!
Yea, my hand seemed to be totally out of control! It kept waving.
It’s got a cab, it appears well enough kept. I have been there as well. I won some and I lost some. I really hope you are a winner on the deal. There were some very decent prices through there. Some pretty rough tractors as well haha.
All the best!!
OMG, you just can't be left unsupervised!
Use it for high engine hour jobs like mowing large areas or running a generator or log splitter. You won't feel bad putting a ton of hours on it.
I like these auction videos a lot. I personally like when you give some info on the tractor before the selling. Keep up the good work.
I have been there before at an auction. Felt the same way but, it all worked out. You have tremendous reach with your channel and contacts. That cab tractor will make someone a wonderful tractor. Your wife is very patient and most understanding. Best wishes.
I love the 20's, because I have a 4720. We've all been there, auction fever is real & it sneaks up on you. I think you did fine on the purchase. You can not have too many tractors. Keep the faith.
Great mowing tractor. In 2020, picked up a 3720 cab with 400hrs , 60”mmm, 61” front blower, no loader for 29k. Put 500 hrs on it, love the AC and no dust for mowing. I think you got a good deal.
I can only imagine the Finance Manager's reaction to your purchase...........luckily, it has a cab you can sleep in.......LOL
I like seeing the auction prices! Keep sharing!
14k for a cab 20 series is a good deal even pre covid. You can still find those loaders and the MMM. I actually started watching your channel when I bought my 3320.
I was following when I bought my 3320 on Nov 1st 2020……drive thru 2 Trump motor rallies droving from Chicago suburbs to St Louis that Sunday
Reason #24 why I never go to auctions.... I could not understand a single word that auctioneer was saying. 😞 It's a shame more auctions don't do like a lot of vehicle auctions and display the current bid on a big display.
Very enjoyable to watch. I really like seeing these auctions
It is always comforting to see someone else make decisions one has also made. I pray yours has a more successful outcome!
Tim, honey I'm home. Wife, we need to talk. Tim, let's get started!
13 and a half minutes mark that little Kubota with the broken shaft that's probably the best buy of the day.
haha Tim, what a great video, I did the same thing last year went to an auction came home with two tractors I absolutely do not need . I think prices have softened up a bit in the last year
Bought several tractors from Ted and he always treats you right. Fully inspect it and if there’s any serious problems he will make it right. I’m really thinking it will make you a nice addition to your fleet.
Not sure how to break it to Christy though. Probably a nice gift with be in order. Flowers?
I think the variety of tractors (first gen R.K., Bobcat, Deutz, etc.) is one thing which draws me to these. Now we've got a new series to check out, the auction tractor and hope not to have gotten a lemon. Like others have mentioned, Christy may enjoy the cab factor during the winter more than we think.
Congratulations on getting the John Deere 3520! I got myself a used John Deere cat one quick hitch for $150 at the Williams Grove Historical Steam Engine Association Labor day tractor show auction! Also I had to fix a few things on it and touch it up with some paint but other than that I think that I did pretty well.
Great Video there Tim, I'm sure You'll find a good use for that Tractor,
Looks to be set up for Mowing. Turf tires, Cab,
Thanks.
Mike M.
Really nice to see you there Tim. We met you after coming out of the office. We love your content and your authenticity.
Thanks Rod. Enjoyed chatting with you guys.
The prices are very Reasonable thanks for sharing..
💥 Oh Tim…. I loved the fitting verse. Good luck to you. You might be sleeping in the shed for awhile.
*Keep on tractoring!*
Let’s get started
Congratulations on new to you tractor Tim, Christy will be comfortable with the cab and I imagine she will slowly start using this more than Vinny 😊
Great video. Excited to see how your auction tractor purchase plays out. Just from what I could see on the left side there is just a cosmetic issues, nothing too difficult to fix.
New entry step and left fender is about all I am seeing so far that I would want to fix.
I think you bought it really right so spending a few bucks to fix her up a bit should easily be a somewhat fun and worthwhile investment.
I am thinking for a loader you may only need to swap the loader mounts over from your 3046R and that loader might fit right onto that 3520.
Seems like your in similar situation to myself, and we don't really need a loader to be on every tractor all of the time.
If that idea works that I mentioned where you might be able to share your 3046R's loader with the 3520.
That might work out pretty well for you. Need cab a 3R you got it need an open station 3R, most attachments should work no both.
Anyway, looks like a really fun exciting project tractor for the channel. Likely a profitable project. A little TLC on the old girl, and I bet it would bring a lot more then you paid for it.
Really looking forward to watching and learning all about it. Good luck with the new project.
Prices are always lower in the fall. I think you can turn around the tractor in the spring.
Tim, I think it depends upon if everything works on your tractor. Deere equipment gets really expensive to fix. But, it's a nice looking machine.
I say mount a front snowblower and then you will the one outside with the camera and Christy will be nice and warm cleaning the driveway! I imagine this would run a large finish mower during the summer very well too!
Tim - that was awesome!! I betting a lot of us have been right there…..the auction “euphoria….I don’t want to loose now” purchase can’t wait to see how this works out for ya’ll??!!
I’m betting Christy won’t let you go alone to the next several auctions 😂😂😂😂
I think the pricing was consistent for the most part ~ thanks for sharing.
Henry P,
Evans, GA
Good machine for snowblowing/plowing. All your JD connections, you shouldn't have any issues getting anything fixed you need done. You have people in places most of us don't have to help you with issues. I think you will be fine, expecially having the cab on it. Probably 1/2 of what you paid for it just there.
Nice tractor you bought for Christy! A cab too! I am sure she will enjoy it!
Tim from what I seen your purchase was a good deal. I seen a 1025R go for the same price. But I don’t have to explain that to the wife!😳😁 I’ll be interested in how you plan on using it.
I enjoy equipment auctions. But there are time when I have no idea what people are thinking. They my as well go out and buy new. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for sharing buddy 👍
Great project for you. Find a loader and you have yourself one fine piece
Looks like things were going cheaper than hell compared to around here!
Edited: watched it all and most prices were lower than any I can find online with comparable machines. You did great on the JD; the cab really adds a lot of value to it.
Wish I could go to one of these the prices look fabulous to me come paired to ny state
You've had a good run. It's sad to see TTWT come to an end!
It's a really cool tractor and it is about time you let us in on the A/C and heated cab videos. When I get a bigger piece of property so I need a bigger tractor, it will have a heated and a/c cab. And Good grief those 1025R auction tractors are still getting such good money!
Good luck with the finance committee!
When you build a dog house always include as many creature comforts as possible. You may need them one day. Many of the tractor model numbers were covered by the loader arms so it was hard to compare prices to actual models on several of the tractors. These videos help us follow the market. Thanks.
Great video, good luck 👍 👏
Remember you said could still get a loader from John Deere for that tractor. Thought even though it cost money but may help when it comes to selling it off. But then when got several other tractors with loaders does 1 more loader really matter. Be a good winter snowblower and summer garden tractor
Good luck! Nice 200k present.
Tim I absolutely love these videos. Thank you. Keep them coming.
Unfortunately, this auctioneer called me…told me not to come back! Oh well.
😄 🤣 😂
Hey, nice new (to you) tractor! It's old, may as well slap a big old turbo on it!
Well Tim it appears to be a clean tractor even if the hrs are up there. It may have had an easy life. I could see having a machine without the loader may be handy for some tasks where the loader may get in the way. May be machine dedicated for mowing jobs? It will all work out okay
I am pretty sure we will here more about this tractor in future episodes. I am curious if this is setup for a loader, backhoe, MMM, any other options??? As for value, it is worth it if you think it is. My opinion is not important, as I do not need a 3 series and I am not familiar with what these are worth.
Just be Happy! You will make it right!
I understand auction fever. I did it online one time. Won bid on welder and realized I probably didn't want. Thankfully I got there to pick it up and the auction didn't cover it up well enough and soaked with rain. They were good to me and didn't make me purchase it.
Well, looks like you got yourself a tractor, Mr. Tim!! That was funny enough to make me smile outloud! 😂 Your bible verse at the end seemed to be at least somewhat inspired by your new equipment purchase, Am I wrong? If my wife had watched this with me she would be telling me, “That’s something you would do!” Anyway, that made me day, Sir! Thanks for the smiles ☺️
Yea, Christy chose the verse.
I like these auction videos a lot. I personally like when you give some info on the tractor before the selling. Tim will you give and update on the Tractor you just Bought, would love to hear back from you. Love these Videos alot. Tell Christy Hi for me?
You got a better deal than most people did
Tim, a man can never have too many tractors!
I think you did fine Tim. Just add a loader to it and make it yours !
The new to you auction win should be pretty nice next summer using the batwing mower, or any other 3 point attachment in the summer heat. you don't need a loader all the time and it gets in the way sometimes. I think you did fine on the purchase. I bet you're looking for a loader already. ;)
Back and forth on the loader.
Might use it for mowing (lawn and TS10).
It'll be cool to see an example of a high hour machine and what type of maintenance & part replacements that need done with higher hour machines!
I don't doubt it'll run like a top well past 5000 hours with proper care
I don't think hours matter that much if the machine has been well maintained. I bought a 3046R cab tractor last year with 1100 hours and it cost me $30k. Granted mine has a loader, but you have a loader on every other tractor. This could be great for mowing or tilling in dusty conditions where the visibility of not having the loader would be beneficial.
I don't think this was a good buy for Tim, but I think it would be a great tractor for Cristy. The price seemed fair as long as it works. My auction rule is to set a price in advance and be firm about it. Always know what you will feel good about spending. That kind of precludes this sort of impulse purchase, though.
Nice looking machine ! Hope this works out better than the other tractor you bought that was stolen ! Have a Blessed Day
Would be hard to be any worse!
Great video!👍🏻
Very enjoyable video
present for Christy put the flail mower on it she would love using it for the tower project
When you do videos like this, please tell what model each tractor is. With the loaders blocking the model numbers I have no way to tell what they are buying.
“E-series…. Even better!!”😂😂😂
Oh Tim, rule No. 1, when married consult with your finance committee. Good luck chuck! lol
The $800 cub sounded like a deal. Seemed like the compact John Deere tractors are going for good money.
Be a good mowing tractor, cab, AC, turf tires.. The hours scare me a bit though.
It's not in so much as needing but more of "wanting" - we've all been there😀
Does the AC work...that'd be my very first question too! Hopefully this one's not stolen!
having 7 tractors and just buying a 4020 diesel engine and 4020 gas tractor that my brother farmed with for years up until his passing, Tim, I competely understand the buy disease.
Love the Auction Vids !
Tim, good luck with that tractor, I don’t see a lot of upside, especially without a loader.
We can of course buy a loader if we want.
I thought the 1023E went high.
Ouch on the proverb there kristi.
The E's are better than the R's according to the auctioneer. 😆
Love the auction videos I think the three best deals in my opinion were the Little Cub tractor that went for $800, the little Kubota with the front blade that went for $1,000 and personally I thought the little BX with the loader and mower deck that went for 11,000 was a pretty good deal
What about the Kioti CS2510 for $9000?
@Tractor Time with Tim true and the DK with the cab seemed like a good price too
I didn't catch the hours on the L45 Kubota. Did anyone get that information?
that cub low boy was a steal at $800 !!
Where is the dog house??? Go through it check is out and sell it in the spring...... can there be any front end attachment put to uses on the machine??? 🤔
Sold to the camera man lol. Can't have too many tractors! Looks like a good addition to the fleet. I wouldn't mind a cab model like that myself.
Prices dropped noticeably in Virginia at the auctions over the past month . Like somebody flipped a switch.
Good thing the barn has a/c and heat....
I like seeing the auction videos and enjoy when you give some info before they are sold or maybe at least chime in when they display the price. Especially the super low hour model prices as compared to new. I don't even own a tractor even though I need and want one. I cringe every time I even think of the prices these things are bringing. It just boggles my mind honestly.
It's the green and yellow paint that gets the best of us. Might find it handy without the loader in those tight situations. You can always get your money out of it towards a new one if the wife lets you out the dog house.
My john deere 3520 with 4450hrs just had the battery take a crap last Saturday! I just bought mine at the end of June and was freaking out when it started throwing codes and the dash shut off. The charger said the battery was good then I noticed it was from 2011!!!
4450! Wow. What items have you had to fix?
the cab will be very pleasant for some jobs ill tell you
Christy will love the new heated and air-conditioned camera tractor you bought for her. The ending was a little strange in that you happen to have your big 5th wheel trailer with you. Hmmm
I had to make a second trip…with the trailer…to pick up the tractor.
I never did catch how many hours it had. Doesn't look too bad but I am particular and the broken rear fender may bother me and need to be repaired. I am sure you bought it with a purpose in mind and you have been around small tractors enough to have a good idea of what they are worth. I am sure you will do fine.

Today's Proverb seems fitting for an auction attendee! Can't wait to hear more on the auction JD as you get into it.
cabs are usually pretty expensive
That tractor looks perfect for pulling a tour trailer. You could have another business operation.
It was helpful in previous auctions when you gave us the model number and condition of the tractor before hand. In this auction, not knowing that makes it difficult to gauge the price. It may just be me, but I couldn't understand the auctioneers comments most of the time. It seemed out of character for you to buy that tractor, not having checked it out before hand. I hope it works out for you. I would hope one of the loaders you currently have at home would fit this tractor, if you just bought the loader frames.
Looks like the stuff is going for what it should be again
That old Cub Lo Boy for $800 is going to make someone a great mowing tractor
I figured you might use the purchase for cold weather projects with a heated cab.
I was curious with the tractors that had an implement behind them, like the hay balers and three point implements, if that was part of the winning bid?
Nope implement sells at a different auction..unless stated during the tractor sale
Usually implement is separate. We just don’t show all of those.
The deal was that New Holland Workmaster 35. Low hours only $10K, easy $5K profit to flip where I live.
Tim, my wife is our CFO too. All she kept saying when you said you bought the tractor was “poor Kristi”.
Christy needs a support group!
Tim, in a previous auction video you recommended not buying tractor models with low production/sales numbers. Where can you find that information? (Love all your videos. Keep doing the auction videos - very helpful.)
I do not know how to find those numbers. Having said that, you CAN figure this out to some degree anecdotally.
For example, Ford 8N, John Deere 1025r, John Deere 4020, etc are clearly high volume.
No doubt about it; You came down with Auction Fever.
