Just imagine how much fun matches will be under pressure from a few of these while dealing with a carriers, hybrids, subs, and dds? all at the same time.
at this point they really need to give us a free Cmdr. and modules reset. so many new hybrids in the game now that i think it is going to be a smart/necessary move to have AA builds on all your ships.
I'll be getting my new computer soon and have been waiting to get back into the game.... haven't played in over a year. These developments are making me rethink my desire to resume the game.
That lock on bug is old. It frequently (but not always) happens when you switch to any other armament (Airstrike, ASW, Torps) and back quickly. Double tapping "X" to unlock and relock fixes it. It's really noticeable when you play something with lots of fast firing guns at close-ish range. For example: knifefighting in Kitakaze and quickly dropping torps between salvos.
one more thing added to game that encourages camping, it gets really annoying in random battles trying to push flank only to see all bbs are 20km away turning around the moment anything becomes spotted on the flank
I accidentally played a random battle the other day (thought I chose ranked) and it was all camping. Barely anyone got out of spawn. Only 1 dd per side, too. Lots of aircraft though.
I was targeted the first time by a Tromp yesterday and it was miserable. My guy was not spotted for almost the entire match and I ended the game having shot down 25 of his planes even though I was in a St Vincent, not even a good aa cruiser. It was just nonstop drops the entire game luckily I could use my superheal against the fires but what if I didn't have them?
I was thinking if WG remove the ability to drop air strikes when your ship doesn't have land of sight or just high island same with shells over island or torpedoes can't go through the island. This can partially solved camping back of the island and dropping. But yes still has an issue for dropping air strikes undetected. However I believe it will be similar to submarine or destroyer torpedoes launched undetected. Thinking like small island airstrike can go through, but tall island unable or not allow dropping at all unless you have land of sight.
Doesn't make much sense from a realism perspective but it would certainly help with HE bomb airstrike balance issues and also with the standard submarine problem of 'half the enemy team dogpiles you the instant you get spotted'.

This is the third instance of the unlock bug being noted recently. I had an entire match where my shells were missing by a country mile while locked. Same night I saw AeroSpaceGamer had it on stream. Now PQ is noting it but in reference to the Dutch cruisers. Something is wrong beyond the normal buggery IMO.
I wonder if WG is going to add an airstrike detection bloom at some point. It seems terribly unbalanced to allow these cruisers to drop without raising their detection.
Aircraft carriers, aircraft battleships, aircraft cruisers, aircraft torpedo bombers. Aircraft submarines are still missing. I think Wows is already planning something like that 😂😂!! And the game will be all about anti-aircraft guns and air raids. It's getting boring to play with a ship that doesn't have very high-quality AA.
all this does is demonstrate how more and more stupid this game is getting...we got spamming dds who carry more torps than is close to realistic...we got cruiser spammers who fire faster than any modern vessel could even get close to....we got subs who in of themselves are not an issue, the stupid mechanics on how one deals with them and lack of any hydro on vessels (most vessels used to have it) means they still shot gun you....we got BBs where some have correct close cluster spreads and others that act like shot guns...then we got Cvs being OP....and now we have magical DD and cruisers launching airstrikes from magical none existent airbases cos they could not launch from deck.....i used to love this game now i am rapdily going off it. all they need to do to solve this is have a game mode like random...that is called realism mode...limited ammo, realistic main gun spreads, hydro on all vessels, reduced firing rates not even complex do this and add in realism mechanics on penetrations and true damage models (doesnt take alot to actually disable ships far less than actually in game)....then this game would be truthfully awesome its realism is what is missing.....if they want new player and more importantly players staying this is what is needed...if not this will die through silly gameplay they introduce
This line should not be able to pen 32mm and above, they spam too fast and with their high fpm paired with longer range than leeuw they are really cancerous to the game.
Stop coping, AA is trash in this game. My Johann de Wit and Jinan are built full AA, and if flak won't proc you might as well be sitting duck. The problem of AA is that continous dmg is abysmal and extremely flak proc reliant.

WG really seem to be tickling the dragon at this stage. They should be careful with what they seem to be sowing.

Just play PvE thats what i do then it makes it way more fun then sweaty pvp with OP ships

When you trigger an airstrike, your visibility should bloom just like firing your guns. This is ridiculous.

The game has trained them to play that way. If they move forward, the CVs, subs and hybrids will just delete them.

Are airstrikes impacted by losing target lock as gun salvos are?
Or can you get the same dispersion of your bombs without lock or when blind firing?
