I grew up in the 80’s! My hair was still big until I started medical school in 1990! I remember going into the salon and having a gorgeous person like you rescue me from the "mistreatment of myself”. I’ve binge watched for 2 days on vacation in Miami! Love your channel! 👩🏻🦳🦋💜
I wish someone would have drilled that message into my head from a young age. It can be so hard to see any value in yourself when you're used to being treated like you're worthless. And that starts to affect how you treat yourself: I'm not worth good food, taking care of my health, the cost of a new outfit, I don't deserve nice things, etc. Once someone gives you that mentality, it can take years to undo the daily internalized abuse you give yourself.
Been watching for months and just now realized steph is her daughter! I love this detail for so many reasons! Obviously because they look alike, now the eye rolls make sooooo much more sense (they were already funny to begin with!), and having grown up in the 80s with parents who owned a business, I can confirm that kids were the labor force 🤣😂
