It's not often that I moved to do a cover. I have to be pretty crazy about the song. This one was love at first listen and has STAYED on repeat. And who better to make music with than this brilliant friend of mine? In the 4 years we've known each other this marks the FIRST time we've actually sung together.
They sound awesome. But I absolutely love how unbothered they are. Sitting there like 'Yes bitch, indeed I did something bad. What youre gonna do about it?'
@Skeptics we love you anyway that was my interpretation of this song. what I got from it is the songwriter is saying "you said I did something bad and so what? I'm standing in my shit. I would do it again. What are you going to do about it? nothing" . What I got from the song is that the person doesn't believe what they did is bad and they don't feel any guilt over it and they would do it again.

Take pride in your identification and take the good with the bad. Seeing as there was no way to identify each and every “Swiftie” who commented on this post I used a general term. If it isn’t you, that’s great but if you are taking it this personally...you are going to have a long miserable life.

It doesn't matter how the viewers 'found them', or if it was from Taylor tweeting it out or not. If Taylor did discover them, then that's awesome. If she didn't, that's cool too. A lot of Swifties found them through searching up covers--that's what I did.
I searched up an Acoustic version of reputation, and a playlist brought me here. I didn't even know Taylor tweeted this, and I'm sure a lot of others didn't think so too. What matters is that people like the song, and if you think it's an issue because they found it through Taylor Swift, then whatever.
If these girls have been doing this on stage for years and Taylor is just now realizing them, why does it matter? Because they're not getting the light that the fans wanted them to have? The generalization is with the viewers, and that's what you're doing.
The people on this song like it because it's pretty and it doesn't matter how they found it. Can we all just enjoy the beautiful song? :)
