I truly don’t see how he is saving country music yes he is very talented and I like him. The problem I have is a lot of his songs seem to blend together and sound alike.
Caleb Cummings i feel that way because, out of all the artists that today’s so-called country radio plays, he’s one of the few who actually sounds country. & as far as songs sounding alike, sure he has a few, but that statement could also be said about pretty much every other male country artist i’ve heard over the past 6 years at least. the difference is most of them just sound like recycled pop, with their unauthentic & stylized singing.
northinstead compared to most other newer country artists I completely agree. I think Chris Stapleton for sure and maybe Midland are also doing there best to save country music. I agree that he is more country than most of them. I just wish we would go back to the days of fiddles and steel guitars and acoustic instruments.
Caleb Cummings yes ! i’m with you on Stapleton & Midland .. and i too wish more of these current artists would have fiddle & steel guitar, at least in SOME of their songs. i get that things change, but does that mean ALL of it has to be unidentifiable ? my personal favorite is Patty Loveless. also George Strait. & really anyone else from their era 80’s, 90’s country. as well as the Cash / Carter families. & from those artists i learned and listened to others from the past. i really do like some of today’s .. would like radio better if the stations mixed in more 90s classics.

Great legends of Country Music are passing from Johnny Cash to George Jones to Kenny Rogers and Glen Campbell and here we are in the Cordillera Region of the Philippines was and is been waiting for the Country Music Industry's recognition of us the fans and Cordilleran Country Artist!! My father died in 2015 hoping for a Country Music Artist's tour here in the Philippines in his lifetime. Why does the mainstreem Country Music Industry neglect us the Country Music loving people here in the Philippines for like forever?
