An interesting but somewhat superficial narration. Onassis's disenchantment with his second and "Trophy" wife Jackie, began quite quickly after the nuptials it seems. He complained to Maria Callas after renewing contact with her, that the new "Madame Onassis" was cold and utterly profligate in her spending habits...Theirs was undoubtedly one of the 20th Centuries "great Love Stories". He was in Love with the fact that she was for a time the most famous woman in the world. She was in Love with the fact that he was much older and one of the world's richest men, able to easily fund her new obsession....Shopping, on a scale never before seen, or probably since..!! But there was so much more to the "Golden Greek's" (Onassis)often dubious to say the least, business deals....
They did not love each other. Onassis also arranged the marriage between Grace Kelly & Prince Rainier. At the time Onassis owned the casinos in Monte Carlo & if Rainier did not get married. Monte Carlo would go bsck to France. When Robert Kennedy was killed, Jackie Kennedy was very concerned about her children's safety. Also, her wedding dress was designed by Valentino. I always referred to her as Jacqueline Kennedy.

The relationship between ONASSIS and CALLAS was long-term, and a well-known fact. It was also spoken of in this film. So what is your point? The narrator already covered this “revelation.”🙄
Callas & Onassis were both Greek they were a love match. They should have married. From the time he married Jackie Kennedy his business empire collapsed. He would have divorced her but he died. Jackie got her payoff in the will.
Onassis was a business man. Jackie was a business deal. He was never in love with her nor she with him. He was back in Callas bed 2 weeks after he married Kennedy. 😂.@@joiisler8986
Onassis, one of the wealthiest men in the world was another malignant narcissistic sociopath i.e. a sense of entitlement, grandiosity, an insatiable need for attention etc. Jackie, after she was widowed for a second time, thanked him for being there for her after those horrific assassinations. I wonder if she realized that she had married into a real "Greek tragedy" as Onassis's wife, the mother of his two children committed suicide, his son was killed in a plane crash like JFK Jr only in a different way and his only daughter drowned in a bathtub from a drug overdose like Whitney Houston! Onassis said he was going to divorce Jackie because being a typical Greek who was very suspicious, he felt Jackie had brought him that bad luck! I was so glad when she got the hell out of there, and came back home to NYC not far from where I used to live in Manhattan when I was single in the early 1970s and worked as a professional fashion illustrator. As far as Maria Callas is concerned he ruined her emotionally, by forcing to have an abortion when she really wanted to have a child with him~ those are the FACTS that I've read over the past 50 years from reliable sources!
Jackie married her sister's boyfriend after he dumped her. Everyone knew that Maria Callas and Aristotle Onassis were lovers. Then Jackie's last boyfriend was a married man, so none of these people win medals for faithfulness.
Could you really noit find enough photos of Jackie that you had to use another women's photo when talking about Jackie ? I don't understand that. She doesn't look anything like Jackie.
Yeah, it's really bad. Ruins the videos when they do that. So unnecessary too, like there weren't enough photos taken of "the most photographed woman in the world"? Wasn't that the reason she married Onassis, or one of them? because he could provide her some privacy? sheesh.
Whatever can be said about Onassis’ shady business practices, he was very kind and generous to people who worked for him amd even to complete strangers. He also genuinely liked John and Caroline Kennedy and did his best to be a good stepfather. Jackie, by all accounts, was the opposite, treating so many people in her orbit terribly. Deep down, Jackie was a shallow person almost devoid of empathy. Jackie was the most famous woman of her time, the polar opposite of the most famous woman of a later time, Princess Diana.
That is not her gravestone. It is, I believe, at the Sorbonne in Paris, where she was a student in 1949/1950 (her junior year at college.) She also attended the University of Grenoble in France during this time as part of a study-abroad program through Smith College. I'm not sure which school displays this plaque. She had started out at Vassar and eventually graduated from George Washington University.
They married for financial gain, Onassis was being investigated, facing scrutiny & possible charges by the United States, marrying Jackie put a stop to the investigation
Ted Kennedy went to Greece to meet with Onassis prior to the wedding. He told Onassis that she was a revered woman in the states. And that she’d loose her money from the Kennedy’s.
If Jackie suspected the deaths of Jack and Bobbie were an 'inside' job, she couldn't trust anyone. Not even the secret service to protect her and the children. Im guessing she was realistic regarding Onassis' infidelities, but his fortune and protection was her priority at the time as well as the security of her children. Doesn't make her right just pragmatic.
Huh..I always understood that on a Greek island, behind armed guards, with her sister’s ex-lover..Jackie and Carolyn and JonJon couldn’t be assassinated easily.
I Was at El Morocco, NYC In the 60s. Onassis was There with Prince Ranier and Princess Grace. She was in Tourquoise Chiffon and Pregnant. She Was Really Beautiful. Onassis was Sitting at the Table While they Danced. I Was taken Back at the Sheer Sex Appeal this Man Radiated. He Really Wasnt Good Looking, but He Had An Radiating, Animalistic Sex Appeal. Hard to believe, since JACKIE didn’t spend any time with ONASSIS until she was recovering from the birth and death of her last child, PATRICK, who was born and died in August, 1963, while she was still married to JFK, who died in November of that same year. She never had any more children. She married ONASSIS in October of 1968. So when could you have met a visibly pregnant JACKIE?🤔🙄
Callas wasn't marriage material? She was the most famous opera singer in the world and is considered to be one of the greatest ever. Jackie's only talent was for spending money. I never liked her but then I am not American. Callas truly loved Onassis and virtually gave up her career for him only to see him marry Mrs Kennedy. I believe she died of a broken heart.
Christina Onassis had a terrible love life. She married 4 times and all ended in divorce. She did have one daughter with her last husband, Thierry Roussel, upon whom she doted. The daughter was named Athena , inherited the Onassis fortune and is a competitive equestrian. As her mother died when she was a little girl, there are stories about legal battles and shady financial management of her inheritance by her father.
Ironically, I'd fund this after wondering what happened to the little girl dubbed "The richest little girl in the world". From what I remember she was their heiress. She just disappeared from public view.🤔
A sad story. Jackie Kennedy didn’t appear to be a nice woman. John Kennedy was also unfaithful to Jackie. So there seemed to be a problem there with her relationships that the men didn’t keep faithful to her. Life is never easy. I feel sorry for Maria Callas she wasn’t treated right. She must have still had her apartment in Paris from Onassis, so she still had that & maybe something extra. A sad story & interesting story but thankyou for relating it.
You forgot to say that he made a lot of his fortune by contraband of cigarets into Argentina , he also owned the Ferri between Buenos Aires and Montevideo. Jackie first marry the son of a contrabandist and then a contrabandist. And that is how you become rich.

I read years ago that Jackie refused to wear Onassis' wedding ring because she wouldn't take off JFK wedding ring he gave her when they married!! I think these two really embarrassed each other. As for Ari well I think he should have married his real love Maria Callas! Jackie was poison and wanted attention and drama since she was a child. Jackie just wanted women to be jealous of her for all the money she now had. Onassis should have forced Jackie on a budget - why not? He made it well before he met Jackie and he knew her spending habits were brutal! These two only used each other but deserved each other! Maybe the Kennedy matriarch Rose Kennedy was right when she once said " Nothing my family does shocks me anymore".

The last few minutes of this video show what the narrator says is Jackie's gravestone. The plaque list her name as Jacqueline Kennedy-Onasis, and the narrater suggests this is her vengeance, by including both names. Your statement is so true, right after the President was killed she had a affair with Robert, a great book called "Jackie after Jack"
It was reported that she fell in bed with her body guard. Also, she gave an invitation to guests, Newman, Brando, Sinatra. She would've dare confront a powerful guy like Onassis.
Honestly who could love that face - but Jackie loved the bank balance 😂😂
Charm and charisma go a long way, especially for a man who is not 'handsome'.
Jackie, JFK and Onassis were actually very plain looking people. From what I hear Jackie married for either status and/or money. Apart from having her children I think she must have bitterly regretted her marriages. What an awful life.

She wasn't bothered by Onassis' cheating, it was only the money that mattered to her, and her ability to spend which was legendary.
She conveniently ignored JFK's blatant serial cheating. She did some cheating on her own as well.
Sadly it was Money that mattered to Jackie. It all turned out badly and money could not fix that!!
Who did she cheat on JFK with? Nobody. She wouldn't dare.
I wonder if it is true she was with Bob, because that is the worst thing ever.

In the book I read about Onassis: Ari- The Life and Times of Aristotle Onassis, I read that he was actually born in 1900, not 1906. The book said he falsified his birth records. He apparently did this so the record would show that he became a millionaire in his early 20's instead of around the age of 30.
Onassis was a crook who got rich by insuring his boats then blowing them up. 😊

Onassis was a Greek shipping millionaire and maria Callas a famous Greek Opera singer ,I believe they both loved each other ! The only reason he married Jackie is because it gave him prestige !!!
Is that your idea of love? That is so sad..you are okay with that?
Gee, I love you.But am just going to marry Jackie, as I need prestige too.Even if I humiliate you in public and waste your time-and damage your singing career.
Shopping the way Jackie did is a sure sign of depression.... combating depression.
She wasn't concerned for her children's safety because she participated in JFK's death along with Bobby's and Ari's son. She was CIA. She spent nine months out of the year in New York while she was married to Onassis.
Her legal name was Jacqueline Bouvier Onassis. She was an Onassis on her deathbed in 1994! Ari Onassis got her her 73 Million at her death-Facts!

Onassis was having an affair with Maria Callas, possibly years before he met Jackie Kennedy.........
The relationship between ONASSIS and CALLAS was long-term, and a well-known fact.
It was also spoken of in this film. So what is your point? The narrator already covered this “revelation.”🙄
Wow, didn’t know she contested the will. Dang!
Callas & Onassis were both Greek they were a love match. They should have married. From the time he married Jackie Kennedy his business empire collapsed. He would have divorced her but he died. Jackie got her payoff in the will.
"Why buy the cow when you get the milk free."

I agree. He is not worth it.Sounds like an awful person.Maria Callas made a mistake to fall for him.

Jackie married her sister's boyfriend after he dumped her. Everyone knew that Maria Callas and Aristotle Onassis were lovers. Then Jackie's last boyfriend was a married man, so none of these people win medals for faithfulness.
She was paid twenty five million upfront before she married him. Everything about her was about the money.
Some of these photos are of actor Raul Julia, not Aristotle Onassis.

There is no curse. The Kennedy's were a large family that took lots of risks. They thought they were privileged and nothing could touch them.😊
Could you really noit find enough photos of Jackie that you had to use another women's photo when talking about Jackie ? I don't understand that. She doesn't look anything like Jackie.

Yeah, it's really bad. Ruins the videos when they do that. So unnecessary too, like there weren't enough photos taken of "the most photographed woman in the world"? Wasn't that the reason she married Onassis, or one of them? because he could provide her some privacy? sheesh.
Doesn't bother me, they played them in TV films. It makes sense, actually.
Jackie didn’t want her son flying. I forget how she made sure he didn’t while she was alive. Maybe she had intuition about it.
Maybe she had been cursed when Alexander died
Very interesting video. Thank you!
Deep
down, Jackie was a shallow person almost devoid of empathy.
Jackie was the most famous woman of her time, the polar opposite of the most famous woman of a later time, Princess Diana.
So that's why everyone calls her Jackie Onassis or O. I call her Jackie Kennedy and will, forever.
Onassis couldn’t stand OPERA! Loathed it! He was merely STRATEGIC

That is not her gravestone. It is, I believe, at the Sorbonne in Paris, where she was a student in 1949/1950 (her junior year at college.)
