    Amazing analysis Zach! I see the weight being transferred totally to the lead foot just before impact.

      Yep it’s a great way to be forward and stable at the same time.

    I am messed up. As a lefty, hitting right, I am having a tough time to find a similar move in any other sport or activity. Great lesson ! Thank cue

      The Wall Drill is a great drill I use to do as a former lefty baseball pitcher and I now do it for the back swing in golf and also the Pivot on the follow through. UA-cam -Golf Wall drill. For baseball it prevented me from twisting too much while loading & resulted in more accurate straight line throws to the catcher (Single Plane- Up and Down Or Tall & Fall Motion vs ,Twist-Dip-Drive). With golf it stops me from crossing the line at the top of the back swing and follow through goes straight down like a sludge hammer.

    Hi Zach, interesting! Maybe in your next analysis you could focus on Scotty‘s left foot movement. This could help those struggling with early extension.

    It makes my knee hurt just watching him!

      You would be surprised, give it a try. You see a lot of long drivers moving there feet more, and it’s to avoid knee injuries.

    Good stuff Zach. It also seems this technique would help keep back the hips and reduce the humping tendency?

    • @ZachAllenGolf
      @ZachAllenGolf  Місяць тому

      Yes, it would be almost impossible to hump while doing this drill. I think another reason why Scottie does it.

    A bowling ball is very heavy in comparison to a golf club. Maybe that is why a lot of counter-balance is needed. But a golfer just needs a tiny fraction of that counter-balance?

    • @ZachAllenGolf
      @ZachAllenGolf  Місяць тому +1

      True, the club is only one pound, but when swung fast it actually pulls much harder. Probably even more than a bowler experiences with 15lb ball.

  • @mrm700
    @mrm700 Місяць тому +1

    Scottie arms seems to be stiff, not much wrist hinge. To me, he keeps the club in front of his chest pretty much all through the swing, very little face rotation. You can't do this with very floppy loose arms.

    • @ZachAllenGolf
      @ZachAllenGolf  Місяць тому

      He does seem to do that very well. Club always looks in front, and stable.

  • @nelsonjames1272
    @nelsonjames1272 Місяць тому +1

    How about anyone with a decent swing. Proper fundamentals. Scottie has less flexibility in his knees so there’s a lot of twist in his feet.
