For you bilmazes, this tank is the same as the Charioteer, what's so special about it. Wargaming has started regularly selling you the same tanks that are available in regular branches. Same shit just different packaging.

The Charioteer was my favorite tank in WoT back when I played. Some British WoT streamer known for his terrible content did a review of the Chariot back when it first came out and I said "That tank looks like one that would be ideal for me." And six months of grinding later I had it and it was indeed a tank I enjoyed, racking up many of my best games in her. While I will not be pursuing the Nomad since I have stopped playing WoT it is nice to see she still holds up as the game continues to evolve.
Patients like you who think in this way are Wargamig's most desirable customers. What is the difference between Charioteer and Nomad, except that you have to pay for this one. The fact that it will earn you a little more silver is stupid reasoning. Fanatical buyers of premium vehicles no longer look at what is offered to them, just to pay, even if it's the same crap, just a different package.
Ive always looked for a great reason to connect with my dad, every time I travel back home, snatch is always the first movie on. He knows fine well about world of tanks, so in my opinion this collab is alright
After logging in recently the game invited me to take part in a survey. Among the questions was favourite 5 films and favourite 5 tv shows so I think its safe to say we can expect more film/tv stuff in wot soon.
The Charioteer is my favorite td in game. I run rammer, vents and optics for one build. Then vents, binos, commander vision system when I want to do spotting. Glad there is a premium version of this, now I can make some credits. Still use the Charioteer almost daily.
Got as far as I had time for on the mission. Bought the Nomad with the Christmas loot box gold. Love it. I set it up slightly different than the Charioteer. I am using Vents, optic and level 2 mobility improvement system. Using same crew as Charioteer and the same consumables. The Nomad is slightly faster due to the mobility device increasing horsepower. But plays the same as my Charioteer. Now I can make a lot of credits with the Nomad.
Charioteer is a good tank to be premium-ified. It has a fun HESH, however since it was not a premium tank it could burn a lot of money. Slap it a premium, and HESH could become a very profitable round to spam as long as you pen most of your shots. While no high pen round could sucks sometimes, it has a high pen fast APCR that would print you money as well if you don't want to spam HESH.
I love the tie in with Snatch and so although I've no real interest in the tank, I do want Tony and Tommy. This essentially means completing all the stages (for Tony) and buying the Improved pass (for Tommy). Potentially a lot of effort and/or gold for 2 crew members (3 if you count Frankie along the way). Sure, there are other stage rewards too but I don't need any more boosters or Premium days. I think I just talked myself out of it.
If any of you spent some time playing Armored Warfare, yeah that game, you know that they have an option in their garage to turn your favorite tech tree tanks into premium equivalents. I feel like that would be a nicer way to implement this kind of idea.
The only reason I sold the charioteer was because the skorp did the same role and was a premium. It's probably the best tech tree t8 TD unless you can tolerate RHM mobility

It's a good TD but I've found HESH for premium ammo is pretty useless on anything other than a Shtbarn and Deathstar since those hit for almost 2k dmg. This tanks 490 dmg HESH is the same as a Skorps standard ammo and less than a SU130PM, but far more expensive since it's considered premium ammo. The standard pen is very good but the bottom tier MM and HESH as a premium ammo means that if your standard ammo can't pen those higher tier monsters you're utterly screwed.
I know people are crying it’s a reskin of a current tank but I quite like this. I wish wargaming would do what warthunder did and allow you to turn any vehicle into a prem after it’s maxed for a gold price. I’d like to know what everyone else thinks
By the way, take a guess how many dummies will buy this then watch on day 1 how many spent 12k right away and flood the MM with these, lol. Scary times we live in.
Its not a bad tank but its not a great tank either. I'd call it average. I would say if you enjoyed the Charioteer back when you went up the tech tree and now you could play it in premium mode. That would be cool. However like QB said the price to get it is not good. They want too much price and effort to get it. You will see it on the battlefield. The tank collectors will go for it obviously. You wont really miss anything if you should decide to not bother with it. You could stick with the SU-130pm or the Skorpion and be quite happy.
1. The then young player base in the time of Snatch turns 40+. They also more likely to spend money on the game than eg. the kids with +0 income. Good targeting by WG. 2. I miss Bricktop and Mikey, but Bricktop actor is 85, Brad Pitt is expensive. Their fake version of voice acting might be unworthy to the characters and the Movie itself. Being that said, I don’t mind that much, that they aren’t here. 3. Time to dust off my Bri’ish tech-line TD, to give it a try if that vehicle is still my cup of tea. I like that we have a chance to “test” it through the tech line, so we can figure if it worth the hassle, to invest time and money. 4. Do you like Charioteer? Then Nomad can give you similar experience, while earning better credit. Don’t You want to invest time/gold? Np, you can have the similar experience of gameplay through the tech tree (yet earning less credit). 5. I like this, WG. It can satisfy many ppl, yet this way of monetizing the game is not that disgusting, like some other occassion before. Friendly handshake and shouldertap. GG Wg. ;)
Honestly I kinda wish they did more premiums that were reskins of their standard counterpart like the Nomad and the KV-2 (R). Double the credits earned without the powercreep.
Back when prem tanks were effectively tier 7.5 tanks (i.e. better than stock tier 8s but comparable/worse than elite tier 8s) this might have worked out really well. But now many years later after the release of more and more premium tanks that are outright better than tech tree tier 8s, there is not much incentive for players to get "balanced" premium tanks like the Nomad. Honestly I think it would be good if WG would continue with releasing premium tanks like this but the damage has already been done and they can't just take back all the OP tanks they've released since then.
That comparison with the Skorpion is interesting. While the Skorpion is more accurate its shell velocity and the turret traverse dispersion is much worse, so shooting a moving target with the Nomad is much more confortable. Not to speak of the non-existent camo of the Skorpion. The SU-130PM has the same accuracy, but again worse shell velocity and worse turret traverse dispersion. Also a big plus on the Nomad that you can put vents to improve gun stats. The really tricky thing on the Nomad could be the poor gun elevation (only 12°) in certain situations.
Having gone up the Brit TD line ages ago, I was thinking I would save bonds and just use credits to buy back the fully researched tech tree charioteer. I am not so much in to the stylised cammo.
Hey Mailboy, you said it right by saying ‘cautious’ medium. Not only is it a glass cannon, but it has terribly low HP. I’m a pretty good player but it sounds like you’re a better one. I like the tank but struggle with the slow turret rotation and poor aim time. I like tanks that are quicker in that regard.
There is a difference between QB's Charioteer and mine. He shoots and hits. I shoot and my shells go into space. I love this vehicle, but mine rarely hits.
I'm a bit confused on the crew bit for the nomad. Does its crew setup not match/work for the fv4005 line? I was under the impression the t8 to the t10 had the same crew setup. I take it the same its just different skills on the crew members? Or am I misunderstanding? I'm currently grinding the line and I dont spend money often on the game but I figured if I can get the battle pass maxed ill upgrade the pass but if it can't be used to train up t9/t10 in the line it doesn't seem worth it.
None of the high tier tanks in the shitbarn line have the exact same crew layout, although the Charioteer and Conway have the same general crew layout. The Charioteer is weird in that the commander is also a gunner. The Challenger and 4005 are similar to each other as well, but the commander in the shitbarn is also the radioman. Essentially, a general crew will always work, but it won't be optimized for any tank in the line skill/perk wise
Nice vid QB, thanks! If there are two gunners, what about gunner skills like deadeye, snaphot, designated target? I assume that they do not add up like camo and repairs, so you need to take those only on one crew member, right?
You are correct in assuming that. You can hover your mouse on top of a perk in the garage and press ALT and it will tell you how it works with multiple crew members.
I really enjoyed grinding the original Charioteer, and think this is the way WG should be adding Premium Credit earning tanks in to the game. No more wheeled clown cars that cant be seen, and no more super op hull down heavys that are far superior to the tree counter part.
The video WOT did to promote the event "seemed" to me to suggest it was going to have a different gun to the tech tree Charioteer ie a 3 shot autoloader.

I don't understand why people would need a better tank to motivate them, when you consider all the other rewards you receive in the way. It's a different problem that there are 50 stages in 10 days - if they made it reasonable, all in all this would have been a very cool event.

I have the Turtle 1, GSOR 1008, AT 15A, and Death Star…I have to get this one too for my British premium TD collection.

I got to the charioteer stock and man I didn't think it was possible for a grind to be so painful.
T7 brit light stock gun will make that grind look like a breeze

The shell velocity of the Charioteer is amazing. It may be the highest in the tier.
Hey Michael, one tier 8 tank I know of that has even higher shell velocity is the Udes 14 5. Its premium rounds fire at 1560. It’s incredible.

I have a feeling that we're going to have an influx of tanks from WG, which they give away for free, it's nice to have them, but they're not worth anything. Another tank worth 1000 it doesn't even make sense to sell it = free space in the garage
