This is one of the nba's system I don't like: They only consider the 1st half of the season on selecting nba all-star rosters but not considering the 2nd half of the season especially the playoffs which is more pressure. That's why I like suggesting to have an nba all-star selection after the nba finals.
Examples are Jimmy Butler & Jamal Murray: they are both did not become part of nba all-star roster last year even though they outshined other players(who become part of that nba all-star roster) last playoffs & made it to nba finals. The worst part here is most of the nba all-stars last year did not even made it to playoffs(like Doncic, Lillard, Derozan, Siakam, SGA, Markannen etc.). If someone will say it's because they have a great stats last season, well I disagree(in advance) because we play basketball to win. Also, it is easier to have a great stats if you always have the ball but the question here is: Are they really efficient & are they winning when they always have the ball?

I've accepted that the raps are rebuilding this season...But our future is bright with Scottie on the team🔥We'll be back in the play-in next year and back in the playoffs the year after that

By next year we'll be a perennial playoff team, and I could see in 2-3 years becoming a top 3 team in the East, with potential to make deep runs into the playoffs.

Well deserved for Scottie Barnes. First of many.
Just from the highlights you can see the potential for more. The size, strength, athleticism and court awareness are obvious. If he can just develop a jumper and a go-to move he’ll be a perennial Allstar.
he was at 38.7% before pascal got traded and he’s still at 36% which is about over league average on like 4-5 attempts per game
That's what we would've said last year. He has a jumper now, shooting well on a good numbers of attempts per game. He still needs consistency though, he's still inconsistent like a young player.

@@akz2628 I think the all-nba awards are not including playoffs which is disappointing to know because playoffs is very important, more pressure, louder crowd reactions & eliminating the opponent team for the season that's why you can see whose players remain consistent and whose players are struggling when it comes to more pressure time
@@akz2628 Luka Doncic & SGA being part of "1st all-nba team over D'Aaron Fox & Stephen Curry" last season makes me more believe that all-nba team award is also not fair because Luka Doncic & SGA did not even made it to the playoffs last season but D'Aaron Fox & Stephen Curry made it and they remain efficient & both are very big impact until playoffs

Lamelo Ball, Pascal Siakam, Cade Cunningham, Demar Derozan, Jimmy Butler, Terry Rozier, Kyle Kuzma, Miles Bridges, Dejournte Murray, and I'd even argue Jarrett Allen.
Most of them have higher scoring averages and all of them won't refuse to take a shot in the clutch. Barnes aint it.
