Charlevoix is definitely a beautiful town, from the shops on the Main Street to the beach. The Mushroom homes are very pretty and worth a look. Thank you for watching the video. Have a Happy New Year. Tom & Debbie
You can pick up a self guided tour map at the visitors center in downtown Charlevoix on Mason st. There’s also a car tour of the houses Which is also located downtown.
When you get into Charlevoix, turn onto Park street and take that down to the mushroom houses. They also offer Mushroom house tours which will take you by all the mushroom houses.
Did you see ANY black people at all up there ? I ask this not to be racist or mean but it sucks having to wonder if you’d be welcome visiting an area in your own state. I usually scan the crowds in videos to see if there are any people of color before traveling as we are a mixed couple. And racial tolerance is not good right now
I wondered the same thing, it looks very idyllic and calm and not as hot as the southern east coast gets in July and August. But as you say, one has to ask... Weird though was that even in August of 2020, there were only like 5 people with masks. Guess MI on the water was barely effected. How blessed.
What do you mean right now? Born yesterday perhaps? I can count the centuries on hands and feet how long that's been a thing. But Northern Michigan you don't need to worry about, they are all stuck in weird era where black people are a "fascinating thing" you'll probably get treated like Arsenio Hall when he had his talk show or just like a regular person. Could go either way, Michiganders are odd so, I'd say still worth the gamble. You won't get lynched if that's your worry, the south is the other direction.
I love small towns like this 🥰🥰🥰

Those houses are so cool looking! Mike visited here as a kid but doesn't remember much of it- we'll have to make a trip there someday 😊
Glad you liked the Video. Charlevoix is a nice place to visit and the mushroom houses are very nice.
Very cool house, so much beauty!
I'm thinking of going in October. Is there a map of these houses, or a bus tour?

All I can tell you is that everyone we came in contact with was very friendly. It’s a very pretty town that is enjoyed by everyone.
