He's an lgbt man and his song features a trans woman who is thriving. And then to make it worse, the original video (and song), is talking about a man who pretends to be innocent and virtuous who's actually cheating on his wife and has a predilection for kink. It's not hard to figure out why right wing evangelicals hate it. Sam's all but calling them out with everything about this song.
@@JaTariusJarrett The kind of people screeching about Sam are the same people who started lying about lgbt people being "groomers" right around the time it came out that the Southern Baptist Convention has a severe and long-standing abuse problem that they knew about and covered up. Sam's song not only features lgbt people, but he's also criticizing men who pretend to be one thing to fit into conservative circles who are actually something very, very different in secret. Then, to boot, Kim Petras shows what happens when you treat a trans kid well, treat them with dignity, and allow them to actually flourish. Kim's mom listened to Kim when she told her who she was and allowed her to be who she was meant to be. And she's now a happy, flourishing, Grammy aware winning artist. She's a personification of how wrong conservatives are about trans people. She's what trans people can be when they're allowed to just live their lives and pursue their dreams. It's not hard to see why people like Ted Cruz are livid.
@Rebecca you don't have to be right wing to not like this. You just have to have morals and not support devil worshippers. Not every Democrat is far left and open to anything.

Those people who claim to be religious and always go to church but when they get home they hurt their kids, or being racist to people and judgemental or homophobic. 🤢🤮 Edit: I just wanna add, someone told me most people who often go to chuch ard most likely the people who always sin. They just go to church to reflect and do a confession and ask for forgiveness. Then they will do it again. Not saying all. But MOST.
I appreciate that you love their music. You probably don't realize that Sam doesn't use He/Him as pronouns. He uses They/Them. I'm glad that you weren't mean in your review or immediately were like "Oh, that's Devil worship" and recognized it for what it is, a performance. Artistry and showmanship. Nothing more.
OMG... I didn't know they go by pronouns they/them.I hope no one is offended. And no, it was just a performance that didn't move me in any evil way or anything. Thank you for watching and commenting.
the whole point of the song is about the husband cheating on her doing "unholy" buisness. "Left the kids at home, so you can get some" its about how unholy the husband is doing these awful things to people who (chances are) have no say. In the offical MV he ends up dying because of all the vile things he did. I get the whole "oh its a devil song" Thats what Sam Smith was going for! "Devil made me do it" and that chances are if youre going to somewhere called "the body shop" those people youre fucking DONT WANT TO BE THERE. The whole affair is unholy, hence the Devil and hellfire "you get whats coming to you"
Ehhh, Long story, but, I can't listen to music anymore dt the death of my husband. However, THIS performance has caused such a stir, I had to go look into it. Hearing it, I thought, "I could act like this song" but seeing the performance, I think it needs to be rebuked. To make a mockery of God is an unforgivable sin. Making Hell look like a party and using the cross gestures, whew... Shameful. They demand respect, while disrespecting so many others and especially God. This is acceptable, and people say "what's the big deal?!" Well, I ask you- would you accept a Christian band with angels and and God striking down satin and sinners as a performance at the Grammy's? Doubtful.

@@dustinspace8292 it's a joke dupey!
@@MatuzaMortgages very funny joke haha 😆 can’t …
Thank you for posting! All I can find is uberxtians freaking out
I just feel like if it was gonna be “devil themed” it didn’t have to be that deep it was just weird the way singers or rappers have similar ways when they do music videos around this theme like dancing in circles fire cages then not to mention how most of the singers or rappers we’ve listened to for a really long time change drastically. For example Beyoncé I’ve listened to since foreverrrrrr my whole life u couldn’t tell me nothing ab her but I haven’t listened to one new song she’s released at all it’s just weird to me
Jay: Sam is tall
Me: he’s 6’2 I believe or 6 3
PEOPLE MAKING A FUSS ABOUT NOTHING.GEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEZE!
ABOUT NOTHING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
If the color was blue and there were waterfalls in the background...no one would be talking about the devil...great performance
Honestly.. I still think they would’ve found something to complain about unfortunately.
I think that would be the point? lol. We just watched a whole ode to satanism, homoesexuality, and transgenderism.
Because the color blue and waterfalls don't indicate deviltry, dumb dumb.
Wtf kind of comment is this. If it was blue and waterfalls there would be no devil.
No he is pushing the devil onto people our world is doomed
This performance was AWESOME!! Sam Smith and Kim Petras sound amazing live…plus, controversial performances will always be great. Thank you for showing the whole video 🥰🥰🥰
Dayum u stupid liberal
@@bri6364 dayum, that was a stupid comment
Thank you I've been trying to find this video for a while now.... I don't think anything's wrong with it it goes with the song 🤔... People just need to relax, I think it's a great 👍... Thanks again for having it up ✌️
A satanic ritual live on tv
Great performance
It honestly was.
Honestly it's not as bad as people say. From all the outrage I've been seeing online, I was expecting some broken laws but it's honestly just a regular performance! Regular is such an understatement but you get what I mean
You know it’s easier to spread bad news than good news haha
If ppl think this was bad they must HATE the video🤣. The song is literally titled unholy & all he did was wear a hat with horns on it like many ppl do on Halloween. But ppl lost their minds when lady Gaga did it too, they'll be fine.
Where can watch that video, I want see! 😪
I really don't understand why people making such a huge thing about a normal show. They are acting like this is totally new. Like seriously we saw in the 90s that Manson wasn't the antichrist. How can you be so sensitive. Pretty sure this are the typ of people who are calling todays youth 'snowflakes'. This people needs therapy. Hopefully some of them will realise it.
I’m telling you, you would think they were completely nude during this performance.
They were invited to sing that song at the grammys. So what did y'all expect? The lyrics and the music video are sexy and racy. I wouldnt expect anything less. They rock!
Their performance was pure art. If Ted Cruise wants to Tweet about something "Evil" he should look in the mirror. ❤🧡💛💚💙💜
This performance was amazing ❤ I adore Sam Smith. Bonus that it upset the evangelicals 😅
why i cant find the full video
Tag me if you find the video
First off, thanks for the full vid!
As I suspected. Manufactured drama about this performance for more views. The song is called Unholy lol why are people surprised by this choice of imagery?
It doesnt Change that it is demonic
@@lilraddded8294 no it's calling out people like YOU. That's why you're mad.
I love how "the straights" are so mad about this, cause the funny part is that this is talking about seemingly straight men stepping out on their marriages and oppressing queer people. This was to illustrate the real deviants in the room, the men who make laws and support/do harm to queer people but present a bland "Christian" false face to the world. That show was about what was inside that man, it was showing who those men really are. And that he wishes those discarded women could get some kind of justice, even if beyond the grave. It was honestly beautiful.
It's not even hard to figure out.
@@AvaNightingale god is real demons are real He got one Dude dont try and say this isnt demonic ITS promoting evil. How do we know what IS good and evil? Well without god there IS tecnically No good and evil He says what IS good
@@lilraddded8294 you literally cannot read can you?
What is Satan but the totality of Evil?
Sam Smith held up a mirror to so-called straight America and you just don't like the reflection of y'all's choices.
Get grown, get literate, READING IS FUNDAMENTAL.
@@AvaNightingale okay Ava Nightingale, im sooo sorry thank you for your Feedback so that i can improve my literal skills next time better
People are saying it's a full on devil worshipping ritual, they need to calm down.
I cannot find out what the craziness is about.I love this song and this performance was it.
I just think people are looking for something to hate
I think this was a perfect performance and it went with the song
I agree. People have been telling me I’m going to hell and to not wear my cross necklace b/c I enjoyed the performance. Weird.
People are so dramatic the performance is fine 😭
The video performance was artistic and great. Idk to all these people calling satanic just because you liked the performance. So what if we like the performance? Are we gonna dance and dress up like what they did? Brruuuuhhhh. Its 2023 wake up people.
You know whats worse and sickening?
Those people who claim to be religious and always go to church but when they get home they hurt their kids, or being racist to people and judgemental or homophobic. 🤢🤮
Edit:
I just wanna add, someone told me most people who often go to chuch ard most likely the people who always sin. They just go to church to reflect and do a confession and ask for forgiveness. Then they will do it again.
Not saying all. But MOST.
And that's the gospel truth! The Math doesn't lie!
All the holy ppl were the upset ones lol
I am a Christian and still love SAM SMITH!!! He is a true talent that's rare to find.
Looks like a little bit of a nod the the classic eyes wide shut scene where the ritual was going on and the leader in the red had the staff.
AYYY 🔥👏
the whole point of the song is about the husband cheating on her doing "unholy" buisness. The whole affair is unholy, hence the Devil and hellfire "you get whats coming to you"
hey Jay! Love the reaction 😊 Your cute x
Haha thank you so much!!!! 🫶🏽
"There's a lot going on." 😂👍Subbed!
Thanks for the sub! 😂😂 it really was a lot going on haha
Can we just talk about how Kim ate with her vocals and outfit?
I hope he watches the British Music awards version. Grittier. Awesome.
This is the pop i missed since early 2010's
Ehhh, Long story, but, I can't listen to music anymore dt the death of my husband.
However, THIS performance has caused such a stir, I had to go look into it.
Hearing it, I thought, "I could act like this song" but seeing the performance, I think it needs to be rebuked. To make a mockery of God is an unforgivable sin.
Making Hell look like a party and using the cross gestures, whew...
Shameful. They demand respect, while disrespecting so many others and especially God.
This is acceptable, and people say "what's the big deal?!"
Well, I ask you- would you accept a Christian band with angels and and God striking down satin and sinners as a performance at the Grammy's?
Doubtful.
I love the video and the song I'm just getting a major kick out of the comments from those going off about it being satanic 🤣 I'm sorry but deal with it there's no need to try and push religious beliefs on to everything why can't people mind their own beeswax 🤣
That’s what I’m trying to understand.
So artsy
Was that what all the fuss was about?! Those of us who grew up with Frankie goes to Hollywood and Madonna have seen it before!
Thank you for posting u made my night... Best reaction love, good song Sam Smith...
I consider myself pretty conservative and I loved this, great song great performance, I think people need to pull the stick out they butts, thanks for the video
C'est quand même bizarre de vouloir imager le diable dans son art mais chacun et libre de penser ce qu'ils veux , merci pour la vidéo complète elle est introuvable.
That was the best performance ever seen in my life YES
Sorry...but this was vanilla compared to Lil Nas X's Montero...
THIS is what everybody was in an uproar about? The shit was not racy, this is tame. There’s way worse on TV all the time. Damn people……get a life.
I thought it was spectacular. Sam and Kim both sound incredible, and it's a great song. Anyone complaining about this performance hasn't seen the original music video or listened to the lyrics
Nah it's fucking cool! They both nailed it (Kim ate that shit up!!), and personally I love a good ol’ evil-burlesque-circus vibe
Where can I find full video?
Thank you for having the video! And Great job on your reaction! I thought this was an amazing performance, and Sam and Kim deserve credit for their art and vision, not hate because the devout have a stick up their butts. I feel sorry for them that they can't appreciate something as beautiful as this, how dreadfully boring their lives must be.
Didn't even know this was him on this song
Ohhh, thank you, thank you, thank you! I'm trying to see the full performance since it was happened and didn't find anywhere, just people complaining about it. I love it, Sam Smith is always great and wonderful.
People love to complain over NOTHING! Haha Thank you for watching
