    The way that the middle and lower voices are not overwhelmed by the higher and every section comes through in wonderful harmony is great and not often achieved. Very well done Come to the UK.

      Man, that bass is really something else. I'm a baritone singing bass in a choir and it's rare to see someone so powerful and yet precise

    Lacrimosa:
    Lacrimosa dies illa
    Qua resurget ex favilla
    Judicandus homo reus.
    Huic ergo parce, Deus,
    Pie Jesu Domine,
    Dona eis requiem. Amen.
    ********traduction FR*****
    Lacrimosa:
    Jour de larmes que ce jour,
    qui verra renaître de ses cendres:
    l'homme, ce coupable en jugement:
    Epargnez-le donc, mon Dieu !
    Seigneur, bon Jésus,
    donnez-leur le repos éternel. Amen.

    Very impressive performation. But I can´t stand when profesional opera singers especially sopranos skip the ending consonants only because of keeping right tone and melody fluent... and also latin pronunciation is incorrect in few words, like resurget or parce, because latin doesn´t have soft "g" or soft "c" sound... I think it´s an influence of italian pronunciation...

    • @pjkhunold
      @pjkhunold 4 роки тому +4

      It's not incorrect. You're right to presume that this is Italian style latin. It's 100% perfect for a performance of Mozart's music.
      BTW: do you know the French tradition of pronouncing Latin?
      They are singing for example the word »sanctus« with a nasal »ng« instead of a »n« and an u that sounds like a German »ü« or the last vowel in »révue«.
      And it sounds great 👍

      Latin is taught and pronounced differently in every country. None of them, even the ecclesiastical variety is superior to the others, because noone knows exactly how Latin was pronounced 2000 years ago. We can suspect that even in those times, Latin was pronounced in as many different ways as today. Rome was a great empire, and a lot of different nations came into contact with the ancient Romans' language, and made their influence on its local form. Actual Latin gave rise to vulgar Latin, which, in turn, gave rise to numerous dialects of "Italian" in Italy, a lot of them differing in pronounciation in similar ways to today's Latin varieties. This shows that Latin as a language is inherently capable of changes and modifications, still keeping its own character.

    I love the clearness of the voices and that you can hear the middle and low voices quite clearly through the whole thing. But this isn't a waltz, it should be slower and with a bit more tempo variation!
    Also, the bass soloist seems to be doing whatever he wants. His pronunciation of certain words is awful.

    Are the tenors females in this song???

    • @feelsforjameel1397
      @feelsforjameel1397 5 років тому +2

      I can’t hear any male tenors, no matter how hard I try, I feel like every upper part is very feminine

      MikiKaoru nope I’m right the females have to be tenors, because I’ve listened to this so closely, especially on the lower notes the tenors become quieter, which wouldn’t happen becomes males can Antrim sing the notes, a on the “Do Na” part,they females come in on the tenor part
