I have been playing for 10 years self taught and everything I know is from you. Thank you so much for what you do and thank you so much for helping me become what I wanted to be after years of watching your videos thanks alot man🤘
We do it because we love it. If you learn an instrument with the main goal of becoming rich and famous, then you're doing it for all the wrong reasons and will surely be left disappointed.
I love your videos man! Every time I search for a lesson, I find myself hoping your page pulls up first! And it usually does! Love the “no bs” approach! Thank you so much sir! You rock man!
cool man - you're speeding up the lessons more now, I see - I can understand how you slowed them down before, but man - it was painful for some of us who've been playing for awhile, haha. Beginners can use the pause button if needed.... thanks 4 the lesson!
Yes!!!! I've wanted you to teach/cover this song for awhile :) Other UA-cam guitar teachers have put out a lesson for this song but your lessons are always so clear I learn the most when watching your videos Thank you :)

Great lesson Carl, but watching Phil play it on SiriusXM, he plays the power chords on the pre-chorus not the double stops. That root note makes it sound fuller.
omg your amazinf every song i wanna learn its always you yay ur amazing and i like seeing your guitar lessons right now im still stuck on sweet child o mine but i was just curious about this song
Mate, this really is a great lesson. I believe I’ll check out your site and subscribe for more. You’re worth my money. Thank you very much. Nice job. Good teaching style. I’m 49 and you make learning seem easy :)
omg! this was amazing! I have ever only played the drums but now I want to learn how to play this song on the guitar even if it's the only song I ever learn to play lol
I'm a drummer, I've never played guitar and I gotta ask - how the heck do you remember all those chords and when do change them for even just one song?
just practice man...I ask the same about the drums...on how people can remember which drums to hit how fast how hard...in just one song...but I don't play drums...to a drummer they would tell me to just practice
Like so many, I'm a huge Def Leopard fan. Can you please tell me what you're using in this video to get your glorious 80s saturated high gain tone? If it is a digital effect, are you aware of an analog pedal or pedals that could generate a similar tone? Thank you.
Here’s that hard bridge part for y’all, it’s the most replayed part according to yt (16 notes total) g7,b5,g7,g6,g7 g4,g6,g7,g4,g7,g6,g4 g6,g4,d6,d7 Much easier to visualize
Carl... Carl... you there? lol.... thank you for all your great vids.... One thing.. I'd love if you could show your rig setup for some of these songs.... pedals/amps/settings, etc.. just a thought.. cheers
Thanks for lesson dude :) , I'm learning this with my guitar tutor but I just wanted to check on a few things I'm missing aha Um one question though, I dont know if you'll know the answer haha, Um at the start, where he does that weird high noise, I play 9 and just hammer onto 12 a few times but then it's almost like a feedback noise, But I'm not sure if it is actual feedback or weather he's doing some fancy trick with the guitar, I've tried just doing that weird noise you do when you just hammer the pick onto the string by the pick up and that sounds a bit more like it but I'm not sure haha, Sorry if I've confused you dude :L
imho there is no "proper" method, frequently "proper" = boring. Just practice a lot, take frequent breaks, and try to get "the "feel" of the chord/s, of the song. Sometimes you slide, sometimes you jump. Sometimes you bang that bitch, ooops "chord" just a certain way, and get rewarded with that funky sound that makes you tingle all over; other chords aren't as important and experience tells you which. I think guitar for me is more "feel"' than proper method, except in certain cases. I originally learned from others, by ear and tab, we didn't have youtube back then...I really wish we did, it's an awesome resource. All I know is frequently playing guitar helps relieve my stress without chemicals, and for that I'm grateful. Hope this helps.
Awesome song but this song is not for beginners to learn but I do advise learning your rhythm, your scales which there is definitely 3 you need to know...learn some pinch harmonics then go into playing songs...they will come to you faster and you can train you ear to hear what power chords and open chords...
CubingNetworks if you look on some of his other songs (not sure which ones) you will find that a lot of people where asking him to do Welcome to The Jungle and he said they'd give him too much grief for doing that particular song so I think he would do, could you do Nightrain GuitarLessons365Song
I'm sick of all these yousician adds. All you need is my man Carl Brown!!
Cody Kaufman tell me about it
Same!
Amen
How about you grow the fuck up play some rock music and do a guitar lesson you dumb asses
@@RapingLisaGamingsDeadCorpse What’s your point of cursing us out lol
I have been playing for 10 years self taught and everything I know is from you. Thank you so much for what you do and thank you so much for helping me become what I wanted to be after years of watching your videos thanks alot man🤘
I wish the had an overlay with the finger tabs when he plays. Takes me 5 min to learn first 5 seconds because I am do dumb. Great work!!!!!
Seeing stuff like this makes wonder how anyone takes the time to learn a musical instrument. This guy is great and he's not a rock star...
+HailAnts
Not sure what you mean by that lol
Are you saying you're unimpressed or ....?
No! Totally impressed. Just that it takes years & thousands of hours of practice and so few musicians make it big time...
HailAnts
Totally!!! Dedicated musicians like this are like wizards to me... it seems like magic
+HailAnts mainly because of the unimaginative pop music that is around now. most people don't care about guitar anymore.
We do it because we love it. If you learn an instrument with the main goal of becoming rich and famous, then you're doing it for all the wrong reasons and will surely be left disappointed.

Hey Karl, Thx. I wouldn't be playing guitar without your lessons. Learned a lot.
Let me pause it every 3 seconds...
facts 😅
I love your videos man! Every time I search for a lesson, I find myself hoping your page pulls up first! And it usually does! Love the “no bs” approach! Thank you so much sir! You rock man!
Phenomenal teacher. Always completes the song lesson unlike some others and touches on the little details and fills. Cheers 🍻
Huge help! Also love learning that you can get hard rock tones out of a single coil.
This song is a blast to play. Especially tune down half step and play the live version. Good tutorial!
Hey mr borwn you should do a Animal lesson or a Rocket lesson because those songs by def leppard are amazing
Thank you!!! Finally someone does the whole song! Great lesson too. :)
cool man - you're speeding up the lessons more now, I see - I can understand how you slowed them down before, but man - it was painful for some of us who've been playing for awhile, haha. Beginners can use the pause button if needed.... thanks 4 the lesson!
You must really like them there is no other UA-cam teacher who has got as many songs as you have got
Yes!!!! I've wanted you to teach/cover this song for awhile :) Other UA-cam guitar teachers have put out a lesson for this song but your lessons are always so clear I learn the most when watching your videos
Thank you :)
This rocks man, you should do more songs from their hysteria album!
You are truly awesome. Ty again, for showing the way through another iconic song. You rock.
Thanks Carl for teaching this!

Kraytus7 the same way a singer remembers lyrics. Practice and practice.
Well drumming is more of a feel thing, if you feel the beat then you know what to do. Not much memorizing, more of just muscle memory.
Kraytus7 guitar is almost the same, you gotta memorize sound and what sounds right.
LOTS of practice to start, then frequently "muscle memory" in your hands takes over.
Awesome as usual. Great technique - and thank you.
hi carl, what are you using to get that awesome tone. would really like to know. thanks tremendously.
Love to see those metal songs in a single coil guitar!!!
Sounds pretty sweet too
Please do "Women". It's an underrated track man.
Thanks from brazil
I wanna know what effects and tone you use on Pour Some Sugar on me from your Def Leppard lesson. Sounds sweet man.
how are you getting that sound on your guitar? lots of delay or??
YES!!! Thank you so much Carl! :)
Sound of silence finger style! Please

This is awesome! Thank you!

Hey did you guys see him slightly snarl at 0:51
What kind of pick ups are you using? Sounds great.
Great lesson.Could u tell me in which key it is?
Awesom! Maybe you do next lessons how to play Love and Affection Def Leppard to?
The subtitles always crack me up. Great job on the instruction tho. Thanks
What a great video subbed
It sounds killer. What pickups are those?
Like so many, I'm a huge Def Leopard fan. Can you please tell me what you're using in this video to get your glorious 80s saturated high gain tone? If it is a digital effect, are you aware of an analog pedal or pedals that could generate a similar tone?
Thank you.
If you got any free time is it possible that you could do a video on shine by collective soul? :)
Can you do a video on how you get your tone??
What effects did u use?

Can you do a lesson on Def Leppard's Dangerous? It would be cool to learn to play that awesome song
Thankyou carl
Awesome! What are you using for effects to get that sound?
Dude what are you using in addition to the strat??? Sounds so good!!
yes, I am impressed!
Seeing this makes me want a guitar
thank you ım training my ear and wanted to check
C#m
i can’t even focus on the tutorial i’m literally dumbfounded on how tf he made a single coil pickup strat sound like that.
Funny as fuck.
Damn, I wish it sounded as good on acoustic as it does on electric :( still, another awesome lesson Carl, thanks a ton for that!
What pedals are you using ?
Dude knows his sh*t..... No doubt about it
What kind of amp are you playing? Your tone is spot on, especially considering you're using a strat
Dude. Fender Strats are dope as fuck. The squire copy sucks.
The bridge pick-up is a "Hot Rail"?
Do I hear reverb, delay, or echo on your guitar?
simple AWESOME
Thanks for lesson dude :) , I'm learning this with my guitar tutor but I just wanted to check on a few things I'm missing aha

Sorry if I've confused you dude :L
The squeal? I don't know, I think it just kind of happens sometimes. Sounds awesome when it does though :)
All together 9:58
Your tutorials have been so helpful dude. A big short cut. Especially the flat tuning for Photograph...ug.
thank you
How does he do that screeching bend at 0:13. No matter how I bend it doesn't sound anywhere as cool as that. XD
It's hard to explain that one. It's like a mute Bend if that makes sense.
@markgill3798 Thanks Man!
What tunning?
Look at Carl's face @ 0:20
hahahaha I saw that to
Ten thousand fists - disturbed please
People , pause the video and then use "," and "." to forward and backward the video frame by frame. Then you can watch where the fingers are going
I'm learning guitar myself and I was just wondering how to change chord properly?
imho there is no "proper" method, frequently "proper" = boring. Just practice a lot, take frequent breaks, and try to get "the "feel" of the chord/s, of the song. George Brown There really isn't a proper way to change cords. Just do power cords and find out what sounds good together.
Awesome song but this song is not for beginners to learn but I do advise learning your rhythm, your scales which there is definitely 3 you need to know...learn some pinch harmonics then go into playing songs...they will come to you faster and you can train you ear to hear what power chords and open chords...
GuitarLessons365Song could you do Nightrain by Guns N Roses?
Yes! Nightrain is awesome
The Guns and Roses Folks wont let him do any videos on their tunes :(
He has posted multiple GnR songs in the last couple of months, I think something changed
CubingNetworks if you look on some of his other songs (not sure which ones) you will find that a lot of people where asking him to do Welcome to The Jungle and he said they'd give him too much grief for doing that particular song so I think he would do, could you do Nightrain GuitarLessons365Song
+HardcoreHockey can't you just be greatfull for this!
If you watch guitar tutorials upside down it’s easier cos it’s the way the guitar looks when your playing it
fair dinkum def leppard rocked 80s
+GuitarLessons365Song. Please teach us how to play "A tout le monde" by Megadeth :)

pierre Robitaille you tune a half step down
Nope- standard tuning here kids...
Excellent tutorial! I love your guitar videos. Hey, how did you duplicate that great Pour-Some-Sugar-On-Me tone for this tutorial?
