Leave it alone. It will wonder off later. Put up signs. Warn people. Be quiet and leave it be. It's not hurting anyone or anything.
Exactly. It would be welcome in my backyard
🪶
The only concern is when he ends hibernation. They're very hungry and cranky (hangry?) then and can be dangerous. When I was kid in the rural mountains of British Columbia, we were all taught to be especially wary of bears in the springtime. But if she can get wildlife control to help with the bear at that point, I agree: leave him be for now.
No, not a good idea. When hibernation ends the bear would be really hungry so it would probably go through your trash or even break into someone house. It would probably be a lot happier living away from people.
@@yenxion6516 Somebody probably fed it ,And that's why it isn't bothered by humans.
@@yenxion6516 It could do worse than break into your house. They're most likely to get violent in two situations: when they're hungry after hibernation, and when a mama feels that her cubs are in danger. We were always told never to get between a mama and her cubs. I was always afraid I'd do so without knowing I'd done it.
"He thinks he owns the tree."
Everyone liked that.
@@BR549-8 😂 same
Well he does now 😂
How cute. Please don’t harm it.

@nancy colby WHY POST THAT UNRELATED BS?
It's Connecticut not Michigan. Very few inbred rednecks are out shooting everything that moves there.
Please stop referring to animals as "it"
@@mathewdavis2427 I'll do what I want.
The bear should be left to hibernate for the winter
said the person without a bear in their backyard
I'm glad the bear feels safe.
He seems to be more accepting of others than others seem to be accepting of him. I think we should call him Winston. Winston the bear.
Unfortunately the beautiful beast is bothering the neighbors cause it's gonna wake up and eat their children one day soon n snort all their cocaine and eat all the Halloween treats so they're going to have it killed
Why not we call him Timothy. Timothy Treadwell 🥸
@@fahvm4362 What if he's a she and she has Cubs. Then we have to name the Cubs.
@@ericheine2414 We can call her Amie. Amie Huguenard. 🥸
I like Winston.. thats my dogo name!
that's a pretty sweet treehouse he found
You all must be white people, the first time I seen that bear that tree would have been cut down soon as he left the first time..............REALK TALK
It's a black bear for heavens sake....they aren't a huge threat.
This is what happens when you live with wildlife. We are encroaching on them.
Yeah everybody should grin and bare it.
"they aren't a huge threat", would be a great epitaph.....
@@nc3826 Black bears are like leave me alone and don’t mess with me or my turf
lmao,
YT experts and their, famous last word generalizations ;)
That bear found himself, cosy place to live in that tree.
I love him!!!! I would’ve let him stay. Such a good boy.
I think the concern is because there was a bear that attacked a small boy not that long ago in CT. Bear attacks aren't often in this states, but I understand the concern
@@shorty06111 f that kid. Who cares? The bears life is more important
Newsflash: Bear does OWN the tree and has for thousands of years.
I understand the concern because of the children but he doesn't seem to want to hurt anyone or seem hostile . As long as he's not starving I doubt he'd pose a threat. So adorable
Will that be true when winter is over and bears de-hibernate, very hungry?
That bear is the cutest. I got so excited when I found a turtle in my yard. I would get so tickled if a bear blessed the tree in my yard with his .
Typo. I meant blessed me with his presence.
Bear just chilling, and as word spreads you have safest home in the state, no robber wants officer bear chasing him
💯💯💯
If I owned the property, I would consider it a blessing the bear chose to grace my yard with its presence. I have Coyotes and all sorts of wildlife come onto our property. I say our property because it was theirs before I got here. We can share.
I hope you don't let your pets out while they're around ,If you have any.
My daughter said to me "Dad there's a deer 🦌 in our backyard!" I told her "No we're in it's front yard."
Same thing here in the Philippines with guardians like elementals, spirits, creatures etc. Peaceful coexistence.
LET HIM BE
As long as that bear is not bothering anybody I would suggest you not bother the bear leave the bear alone and let him hibernate in his tree that he picked unless he becomes dangerous leave him alone. Just be aware of your surroundings and keep an eye on your children it's common sense and it's easy there's no reason to disrupt this bear unless he is bothering people
What do you say about the fact that you won’t know he dangerous until he mauls someone , these residents probably can’t even leave their homes at night , how about you come take it and place it in your backyard since you love it so much
I love him! He can come live in our trees
He is VERY adorable and innocent 🐻 💕
That bear winked at that drone 😂 He is depressed , being a bear sucks . Leave him alone ❤
Awww poor thing he looks sad and probably hungry ! They have nowhere to go with so many homes , no food sources except for trash ! No family Hopefully they can relocate him where there are more bears more creeks for fishing ! Further up north ! Thank you for this story ! 🙏🏾♥️
I wish all bears were like Winnie-the-pooh🍯
I hope everyone in the neighborhood will be safe.
Have a Merry Christmas everyone 🌲☃️
Poor baby..
He’s a sweetheart.
Don’t bother him and he won’t bother you.
Agree with everyone below. Black bears are usually very shy and timid. This guy is just chill & funny.
I’m torn. As an animal lover (vegan) how could you not just want to keep that big sleepy face around?! But as someone who is very active outdoors, camping and hiking and such - this IS dangerous in a community. Black bears are very unlikely to initiate an attack on humans but that doesn’t mean someone won’t get hurt, they are not pets. If the bear thinks the tree is his, then it would stand to reason that he may act defensively if someone gets too close or they deem them as a threat and how close is too close in a residential area? They are incredibly intelligent and agile, can run faster than dogs (yes up and downhill) and can climb tress, also they are omnivores so it’s not all honey and berries. And if Mr. Black Bear decided to hibernate there, he could stay for months which would be fine unless someone woke him early, then he would not have the energy to make it through winter until more food and the frost is gone. So not best for him either. 🐻❤️
The bear seems rather peaceful to me and the neighbours and houseowners don't seem to be too close for his taste, so it doesn't seem too difficult to just stay away far enough from the tree and the bear to avoid provocation. There is no need to get any closer to the tree the way I see it. And once the bear falls asleep he'll be even less of a threat. In spring he'll leave eventually. You have to be careful, yes, but I think the cohabitation is feasible.
carnivores are the true animal lovers
Let him sleep in peace! Show respect to other animals. 🐻✨❤️✨
In this day and age, they should feel lucky to have such a wonderful thing happen. I'd love to have that in my yard, and it'll keep the racoons out!
Yeah not with so many kids around. Too many would mess with the bear. Kids would throw rocks and the animal will retaliate resulting in it getting destroyed. He needs to find a better spot.
@DorisDay-lw4xs nowadays that is one true statement.
BEAUTIFUL BEAR LET HIM STAY 🐻🐻🐻🐻❤️❤️
The bear looks cozy in the tree cave. 07dec22
she's so mean!
That is so cute!!
Awe bearzy-puff! They best let you be 💕
He does own the tree.
Go bears.
No... go packer
Quiet! Bear is trying to sleep!
Beautiful bear, Beautiful State!!!
Leave him alone.
That's is so cool,
The 🐻 is living a good 👍 life.
Dangerous situation. That bear is going to be very hungry when he wakes up from hibernation, making it bad for neighborhood pets and people alike. It's not cute, or funny, or sweet. It's a wild animal in a residential neighborhood. The bear is in just as much danger as the residents in the neighborhood.
Sadly these people are too dumb to realize something so simple and basic these days!
When the bear wakes up his systems are slow, they start eating easy digestive food and not very much to give their digestive system working again.
Why are they having him removed? If he’s not bothering them, why intervene? Here humans go playing god again with nature. If they even spent one moment learning about hibernation, they’d see this bear is very little danger to them. Driving in your car is more dangerous.
Well this is America and we have a God given right to sue anybody for anything. If the city is aware of the bear and the bear harms anybody they would be on the business end of a huge lawsuit for choosing to let it be. (That being said I love the bear and would keep it a secret if it was living in my tree.)
Just incase, like the lady said there's kids in the area too. If it ends up in conflict with humans there's a high chance it's going to get shot. And that can be avoided so far.
“He thinks he owns the tree” well bears were here before you lady.
That bear was not snd two bears are below humans
He is named "Keebler" as Keebler elves are supposed to be in neighborhood trees, not bears! :-). DEEP will not relocate him which was stated on 12/9. Someone stated the houses near him look new, but our house was built in 1937 so we are in an "older" neighborhood - granted bears likely owned the turf before that time.
He’s so handsome. Aww I love him
Is that tree structurally safe? Will it shelter the bear good enough? That's what I'd be worried about.
Bear TV - that's so cute!! ☺
I know the bear is of concern, but it seems very quiescent now, as hibernation time is upon it. Probably not too much to worry about till spring, & then just give it a wide berth & it'll go its way. It does look SO peaceful & at ease!
"Probably not too much to worry about" and "It looked SO peaceful & at ease!", would both be great epitaphs.....
@@nc3826 If people don't bother the bear, the bear won't bother the people. As was obvious, it wasn't even concerned with the drone buzzing in its face, & the neighbor stated she did yard work as the bear watched, but made no effort to leave the tree. People are more likely to walk out in the street & be struck by a vehicle, than to be attacked by that bear.
lmao...
YT experts and their assumptions.... Bon appétit bear ;)
@@nc3826 One might also refer to YT critics who have no argument except asinine insinuations & insults. Think I'd rather be the "expert".

Leave him alone. He's not bothering anyone. People are so rude.
I can't believe the property owner wants him gone! It's on my bucket list to see one. I drove ALL over upstate NY just to see one and didn't get to and she's complaining...
When I was stationed at Ft Drum we had a family of black bears in the woods by our house. There are bears, wild turkeys, deer, skunks, etc roaming all around the post, all the time.
If you want to see a bear come to northern NJ. Here in Sussex County we have so many and unfortunately there is a bear hunt going on at this moment.
Thank you, Maria!😊
Well he's a good climber that's for sure
This is the future.... The new squirrels.
Hm? Me? I am ALWAYS welcome, anywhere.
Why are you even asking?! Look, even my fans are here to welcome me and CELEBRATE my presence.
NO, no. I don`t have my nose up. It is just the natural shape of my bear face.
Bear is like "Hey Martha."
Yes, and I say "Hey Bear" aka "Keebler"
Karen:. Theirs small children on this street.
Me a responsible parent/adult:.. well small children should always be accompanied by an adult no?
You gonna fight a bear? 😊
No they shouldn't. Toddlers yes, but like a 7 year old? No.
When they talk about "kids" that must mean 18-19 yo.
How cute you are bearbeee
Inflation hitting everybody.
Cute bear 🐻 💕
I would be proud to have that black bear in my tree. I would name him.
Good for him.
I never thought the squatter situation would get THIS bad
Aww the bear is so cute
Terrifying but it’s also so cute
The poor boy! It was a vacancy and good accommodations are in short supply. He's just doing the best he can. 😒💗
Hes chillin!
Bear lives matter!
He so chill and beautiful. Ppls reaction was kind of silly.
Well its clearly not hibernating, because hes awake, more like napping.
How cute🥰 but it's a wild animal that after hybernation will be hungry and small kids and pets might be in danger.
Let's be honest. We're all just jealous we can't climb into a tree and sleep for 3 months.
Awwwww poor baby
That bear 🐻 knows where all the goodies are
God bless this bear ❤
Good boy 🐻😊
He's too darn cute!
I just 🤎 #Bears🐻.
Please don't hurt him
I think that would be cool to say you have a bear living in your tree
It is just a little bit bigger squirrel, nothing to worry about 😁
Where is a bear allowed to sleep?....
Anywhere it wants! 😂
He's in charge of the neighborhood watch.
Very cool.
That bear even have the audacity sticking his tung out too
If hes not a threat leave him be
Bearlife’s matter! 🐾
The bear looks comfy
Hopefully nobody harms the bear. All it wants is just to hibernate. It be cool to have a bear as a pet. People can get pass a dog but who can a bear? 😅
If you don't want a bear to live in your tree, don't have a bear shaped hole in it. Duh.
😂😂😂
Aww..how sweet. Let him be.
He just wants a place to sleep.
Bear and grin it😂😂
Just leave him/her alone!
I don’t see the problem. Just leave it alone.
such a cutie! give a full jar of honey to him
I hope they dont hurt the bear
"He thinks he owns the tree" - Karen, he does. He has every right to be in the nature we've all stolen from him and other bears. If he's not a danger, leave him alone.
Let him stay! Once winter is over you can fill the tree in.
I just wish the poor bear didnt look so sad 🐻❤
They better get rid of the bear before he wakes up from hibernation! Because he gonna be hungry!
He's not bothering no one
Lol, bear with the bear!
Any update on him? Hope he's safe and well
I googled it and apparently this was from winter of 2022 and THEY DID just let the bear stay!!!!
EPA said he was better off being allowed to sleep, so they let him be. 😇
@@DurgaUsagi Thanks for the good news and update.
Pretty sad that a bear found a home provided by nature and people want to kick it out. He's not hurting anyone. Leave him be. But I already know that they won't. He better be safely removed and relocated. I would rather have a bear than a human for a neighbor.
He absolutely does own the tree. Leave him alone
Can they all just bear with it?..
