They will invest only if they get land , peaceful industrial atmosphere.
No political issues and easy processing of industrial projects .

A simple Google Search as to why convention centres and halls are needed will reveal it. Don't come here asking silly questions.
Convention tourism industry is a 5,00,000 crore industry. It supports hotel, car rental, catering and airlines industry which is more labour intensive then manufacturing which is now automated. Tourism department must ta. ke promotional measuers to aattract Conference Tourism.

for the uninitiated, this is barely a fraction of the size of the mega convention center that was recently inaugurated in Dwarka Delhi..
This is not rubbish. These are the most needed infrastructure required for coming years in our state. The other states you mentioned were developed at least 2 to 3 decades earlier. There is no point in looking back and comparing what was done earlier. Everyone knows. These are the small but right steps taken.
I am staying in Mumbai since 1970 still I look into the such developments of West Bengal with eager and without such comments

also, no normal people will call this infrastructure 😅 roads, metro, trains, bridges, airports, hospitals, school/colleges, can be termed infrastructure.. WB is severely lacking in all these aspects.. trains r present but horribly dirty and inefficient and less said abt hospitals/college/universities the better.... when the govt has failed to build basic stuff, it wastes money on these and people think these r something to be proud of 🤣🤣🤣
