I only wish I would've asked her what does the "work" look like in practice. As for Tia, she is living the consequences of her decision. My mom and dad were married 60yrs. We buried my Dad this past summer. In all of my years I never heard them argue or talk down to each other. Despite this I know they had to work at it. We have to be realistic about relationships. Every relationship has its ups and downs. We are human and when you bring two ppl together it will require constant adjustments. My Dad always told me his number 1 concern was to make sure his wife and kids were well taken care of. Also, he showed me that all it takes is two ppl to make a commitment to work together for a common goal. I’m 10yrs in my marriage and I’m loving it all. The good the bad and the ugly. It’s called life.
