For your afghan - if your blocks are acrylic and you block them via steam then they'll stay blocked after washing. That is known as killing. Do NOT touch your iron to the yarn. If your yarn is a natural fabric (wool, bamboo, etc.) then they need to be blocked after each time it is washed.I don't block them ahead of time since I just make them for use by the family. I really enjoy your videos. Thank you for sharing! I'm so glad you're recovering so well after your surgery!

I'm so happy for you that you didn't have residual effects from the anesthesia and your recovery is going so well! I've made several granny square afghans and bedspreads and have only blocked the ones made of large squares. The square size you are working with should be fine without blocking as long as they are consistently square. Your finished afghan will be lovely. Your cuckoo looks great in the reds, I did mine in a subtle grey blue variegated floss. I think the yellow and blue fabric would make a great background for a dandelion design as the white seed/fluff would show up well. The tan fabric would work well for As the Crow Flys. My best wishes for continued positive progress as you heal.

Oh! You will love touring Buckingham Palace! They treat you SO NICELY! We toured that in 2006! If you enjoy music at all you can go see Jimi Hendrix's apartment! Lots of neat stuff! You need to get that information from the doctor so it can always be used for any surgery you may need. Glad you got to go to the fair!

I didn't block my granny squares for the 3 large granny blankets I made. Even after washing they kept their shape. Your blanket will look gorgeous!
