All these sick combat vids are really showing how airdash was really transformative for this game.
You can dash mid air before but it was cyberware thing b4, glad its now a perk instead

I think dash should be considered as a core mechanic for arcade shooters like Cyberpunk and Doom. After this games, if I'll see new fallout-like shit that doesn't have dashes, I'll do refund immediately)

@mukelson It's all about the right cybernetics and the right perks trust me You can do this Is lot of headshot multiplier Movement perks and cybernetics The more you move the less likely they Hit you

Fr fr I started a second playthrough to get a second dlc ending and its crazy how good these things are. Faster TTK than a gun and encourages insane mobility
Guaranteed Crits and Mouse Aim does have its perks.
The iconic axe hitting a weakspot is crazy powerful, super fun to pull off.

Everything in Cyberpunk is "kinda broken". You just have to build into particular weapon types to make the most of them.
Your ability to "break" the game is by design. Anything can be OP with the right build behind it.

I want someone to make an OP slaught-o-matic vending machine build. Basically a "never keep a murder weapon" playstyle
When I played Dying Light 2 I maxed out throwing knives before advancing to the city. The damage was almost 1 hit kills, but definitely a stun tool that made dealing with enemies much easier. Most infected and low level thugs were easy killing.
Ghostrunner 2 comes out later this month. Imagine the things Oyff's gonna do in that game.

pretty easy to reconstruct I think, He has adrenaline rush -> min 15 body, He doesnt loose stamine when air dashing -> 20 reflexes, he has overclock -> 15 int, he has pyromania buff -> 15 technical and knife skills obviously -> 15 cool, then you are left with 1 attribute point

Melee in cyberpunk 2.0 in general just feels soooo fucking good. Katanas, mantis blades, monowire, throwing knives, they're all so much fun to use. I haven't been using guns for the whole game so far and its been a blast
For real dude i only really use the pistol for stealth on occasion

once i picked up the nehan in my newest playthrough, i never put it down. combined nehan, headhunter, and agau with netrunning 'ninjutsus' and stealth for that futuristic 'ninja' gameplay.

Finally the patch came out, my game was fine for a few days with 2.0 then went back to being broken but so far the patch seems to be making it better

For how powerful knives are with headshots, I do wish there was an aspect of the game that takes advantage of their melee combat.
You kinda have. There is perk that gives knifes 200% damage boost to melee after you throw it.
You get finishers too. Just can't block and parry or deflect bullets which is a shame.
I feel they could of just let you do that and use another band to start aiming.

Yeah, i'm doing a full cool + reflexe/tech build with a sniper for very long range, throwing weapons for mid range and stealth and tech gun if I need a quick kill when my knife is on cd + the mantis blade when i'm going psycho.. but I'm really using the knife 80% of the time it's just too good, one shot every one while dashing everywere in THAWORLDO. Really the most fun build to play. You can stealth when you want and you can go on a fucking mass murder like a true psycho when you feel it.

Mmmh I combo'd throwing knives with electric projectile launcher and the iconic axe and all the EMP explosion cyberware and perks for maximum electric power hazard gameplay. I walk into a room and just everyone gets EMP'd even the cats.

Ever since base game I still cannot for the life of me figure out how to throw my collection of knives
you aim while holding your throwing knife and then shoot. Then you wait a couple of seconds and it returns to you. or with the last Cool perk, it automatically returns if you get a headshot or weakspot hit. I think.
@@UvvUvvUvvUvvUvvU is it a throwable like a grenade or just your melee weapons? Cuz I haven't seen any throwable knives and the melee knives don't allow me to aim and throw the aim just blocks
@@TheGreyShaman throwing knives are melee weapons that can also be thrown. If it looks like you're blocking, then what you're holding is either a katana or a machete and those cannot be thrown. Throwing knives are smaller and have a return time in the stats.

@@TheGreyShaman They have different names. Kaiken, Stinger, Neurotoxin knife, chef's knife, punkknife. Just make sure you equip 1 to your weapon slot. Happy hunting choom.

While weapons did have executions before the amount of animations for each weapon type was noticeably extended with the recent 2.0 patch.

Those slowdowns are weird. Are those intentional slowdowns by the game or is your computer having problems keeping up? If they're intentional, can they be turned off?
Intentional. It's the scanner mode which is also used for applying quickacks. That's the little menu popping up.
@@DragonKnightX12 I've been told by others that it depends on your play style, so I'm assuming that an alternate style would not have such slowdowns, assuming your hardware is beefy enough?
@@anon_y_mousse Depends on what skills and cyberware you use.
A fore mentioned scanning and hacking with cyberdecks.
Alternative too cyberdecks the Sandivestans is pretty much bullet time. End game ones basically you make the flash briefly.
Then Berserker mods which as basically rage mode.
There are pistol/snipers skills that briefly slow down the time what you aim down the sights.
Kerenzikov cyberware also gives you a few seconds of bullet if you ADS while sliding or dashing. Good for rifle and gunslinger builds.
There's many ways to play the game honestly and combine different styles.You could go in guns blazing like Doom, running around with hammers or swords, stealthy with guns or throwing weapons.
Tech guns that shoot through walls. Smart guns that shoot little rocket propelled darts that auto home in on your targets.
Several different ways you can play a hacker build. They got several different cyberdecks that give buffs for different styles and smart weapons are also bundled up with netrunner skills.

When in the progression do enemies become non-bullet sponges, and if so, how does the game not become a cakewalk?
And finally, how many hours of cutscenes and passenger car rides did it take to get here ?
For context I'm replaying the game currently to see what people see in it
You basically need 20 points in cool and take all the knives nodes to one shot every non-elite enemy via headshot, the game woth be a cakewalk though because bosses are still the problem for throwing knives, especially robots and without good defensive implants you can get knocked down really fast ( talking only about hardest difficulty ofc)@@jonharkins1719
@@jonharkins1719 It's actually a masterpiece. Apart from the couple of bugs i encountered, i poured in 60 hours already since the release of Phantom Liberty.
The presentation of the game is a masterpiece, you know, dialogue and how scenic it all is.
And now with the 2.0 skill tree every build goes nuts.
The headshot bonus for throwing weapons is insane. Even 2 healthbar enemies have a hard time staying alive.
As soon as you have tier 5 weapons most enemies can be killed super quick if you are able to land the headshots.
About the quick play style, he plays the game like a speed runner, repetition is the key.
The enemy placement on certain POIs are the same, knowing that you can actually plan on how you want to clear that said POI.
Even i at the age of 37 with sub par aiming am capable of playing quickly once i know the POI.
Those camps reset after some time, so you can replay them over and over again.
And repetition is important to make those highlight videos. :)
Not sure about the FOV, but 40+ FPS is enough to play like this. The game is pretty well optimized even for older rigs, which helped me a lot when it was newer. Enemies aren't really spongey at any point in the game in my experience. But I play on Hard, maybe Very Hard is spongey. But you die fast if you don't keep moving or use cover. The game is mostly a cakewalk if you build for specific stuff and keep your gear updated. But it's so much fun that it doesn't become boring anyway. You can get to the point of instakilling with throwing weapons very early, air-dashing around like a madman takes a few more hours after that. But really, you can have a build come online by act 2.
