Thanks for the video! Helped me to know how to replace the entire head assembly. The cutting head was similar to others I have used...but the overall view...especially the explanation of the base...really helped me to replace the old head with the new one. Nice and clear explanation. BTW I purchased 5 speed feed units for $29+ change yesterday. I imagine my son might receive a portion of these in the future!

The new kit I purchased however came with a bunch of bushing & spacers? Are they simply spare parts? Because the new head was completely sufficient! The package I’m referring to would be the echo speed feed 400 head trimmer replacement

Thanks, there are a number of different spacers for different brand trimmers.

What makes it a Speed Feed Head. I have an Echo as well but different head. It's pretty easy to add the string. Just spin the head until the holes line up and fish it straight through the head to the other side. Doesn't get much easier to be honest. Thanks for the video.

Surprised by the religious aspect at the end, but at least you didn't ask for money, speak in tongues, or try to heal someone. Thanks again for an excellent job.

Hi! I would sure like to know or be steered in the right direction to locate just the top head piece replacement part. Many of us are expecting this same unit to fit on a Milwaukee String Trimmer (the M18 or the powerful FUEL version).

all I use is speed feed heads Gerald. Yes they are counter clockwise to tighten. You should be able to just replace the heads at least I can here.

Get the 35CC Honda string trim and go for 5-6 years with no piston rings worn out like the Echo brand.

@@cleangreenlawnservicellc2630 Yes they are easy to load, but at times the string gets sucked up into the head and then you gotta take the whole thing apart to get it out. And I find that it doesn't last very long I do a lot of tapping with it

I do have to replace the bottom of the head pretty often but we cut and therefore trim pretty low here. Definitely aggravating when the string breaks off
